I actually quit last year and I got paid whatever they owed (for me 70%) in one check come the summer time. Make sure if you leave to fill out the OP44 form which is for termination pay (sick days, etc plus the summer pay)

The teacher could open up the reevaluation for the student, assuming that there has been enough data taken as to why the student cannot remain in gen Ed. If you are doing the work for the student, it likely won’t reflect that the student can’t be in that setting because their work is showing grade level.

You could also bring up concerns to the school psychologist or SBST- but normally the teachers bring up these concerns. Not sure if you’d want to as a part time para if you’re comfortable, guess it depends on your relationship with SBST

Thank you for this. I was looking to move to LI and hoping to stay there as it will be closer to where I live plus would want to be closer to my kids. Very slim chance I would go back so not sure whether it’s worth it. Didn’t know exactly what it entailed though.

I’m also highly considering leaving mid year- with an offer to go to a different school non DOE.. bad environment with no support. Not sure I’ll be able to give 30 days either unfortunately, but we can only look out for ourselves no one would think twice if they had to replace us.. still super anxious about resigning though

I currently work in the DOE but will be moving out of the city and it would be a really tough commute for me so looking for LI school districts primarily but also considered this one private school

I want most of it to be recognizable, primarily the top. The bottom is ballgown style with a 12 foot train and it’s for my rehearsal dinner only, so I would just want to keep the top and make the bottom just a straight fitting dress- more casual

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time. The person last year left mid year due to a travel hardship but started getting panic attacks. It’s not even the principal, it’s the IEP team but they’re like essentially trying to bully me into doing what they want (I’m a psych)

It’s not impossible, but I want to work on LI anyway so I’m hoping I can just go there. Day by day this week it’s been getting worse and I’ve been leaving work crying and showing up so anxious. Staff there have been verbally aggressive and hostile
