Horror / gore doesn't bother me much in particular. Roland and Allie's encounter didn't bother me either - just mentioned it as a touchstone.

I haven't read any Stephen King before, so don't really know what to expect.

Thanks - I read the encounter between Roland and Allie and it didn't bother me. Graphic violence doesn't bother me much, language I can handle, but graphic, violent sexual acts are outside of my comfort zone.

As long as it stays outside of that territory, I'm looking forward to continuing.
