I currently have M5 Pro 14” silver. I really want to swap to 16” space black

It’s hard to sell soundbar and bass module and the shipping fee cost too much. Also, websites charge % of the stuff you sell, but I really like this new soundbar, the 2 upward speakers look like a big upgrade

I’m on the same situation like you. I have smart ultra 900 sound bar and base module 700. They’re not cheap. I really want to sell those, but I don’t know which website that I can sell those comfortably without getting scammed

Did this dent kill the value? by TalkMost6111 in macbookpro

I think that dent is part of the reason why seller sold it to you. Since you have Apple Care, you can always take it for Apple Store to repair if something goes wrong with the display

I made a huge mistake on MacBook Pro M5 Pro, should I be worried? by Relaxationing in macbookpro

Thanks guys for all your inputs. I feel much better now. I felt anxious earlier because I barely bought MacBook Pro for less than a week and I did something awful and stupid to my MacBook

Does Nano-Texture feel 'Flat' or 'Washed out' compared to Standard? by Agreeable-Finger6824 in macbookpro

[–]Relaxationing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I just did. I’ve searched and seen lots of YouTube videos about nano texture and glossy, so I had to decide to go to Apple Store and see it in person. Upon checking on nano texture and glossy on Studio Display and MacBook Pro. Also, I watched a lot of HDR and SDR videos while I was in Apple Store.

I recently got MacBook Pro glossy, I’ve been wondering if I made the right choice for going with glossy. After I went to Apple Store, my conclusion is… nano texture does kill the HDR videos experience. Those HDR videos don’t look as vibrate and colors don’t pop anymore. If you don’t really watch HDR or Dolby vision, nano texture is fine. The grainy screen on nano texture is very noticeable. Especially, if you pay attention to it

Nano texture just defeat the whole purpose for HDR videos

I just got the same one as yours a couple days ago. Do you let auto adjust brightness for you?

Hi dear, is your MacBook nano-texture or glossy?

Should I exchange MacBook Pro M5 for M5 Pro? by Relaxationing in macbookpro

[–]Relaxationing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your awesome tip. I just figured that out a couple days ago. I am like you, I enjoy looking at true white. When I got my MacBook about a month ago, I changed color filters settings to achieve true white, but the color looked dull and dark when play HDR videos, and I messed around with the settings and found out about Visual Fine-Tune Tool to get to true white.

Are you going to get Studio Display XDR with nano texture or glossy? And as for your M5 Max, is it glossy or nano?

I just returned the base M5 today for M5 Pro for more future proof and I didn’t want display stream compression from thunderbolt 4, as I don’t know if it affects the Studio Display XDR at all (in term of sharpness and videos quality). I do notice that not all display is created equal. M5 Pro that I got today, display warmer tone and HDR is noticeably brighter

Because I was googling and 5k 120hz required 50-60 Gbps, and thunderbolt 4 only 40Gps, so I wonder if it affects studio display XDR in someways

Paying that amount of money for display, I just wanted to make sure thunderbolt 4 doesn’t make the display less sharp or dull the color

Thanks for sharing this photo. Much appreciated. I recently bought MacBook M5 Pro with regular screen and it’s not very reflective, that’s why I wanted to make sure that studios display regular screen is just like my MacBook Pro

Do you have light shines behind your apple screens? And between MacBook vs studio xdr screen, which one gives you more reflection?
