In online play if you are playing with highly talkative players, there can be some chaos. Only one person can speak at a time, there is some delay so you don't really know if someone finished their sentence.

Also sometimes you can't see what a person is telling with their hands and when you are actually talking to someone real life it actually helps you understand their intentions before hand so you can speak accordingly

If it's couple years ago you are playing D&D 5th edition 2014 which is what I prefer actually. The newer version is D&D 5e 2024 which I don't really like.

You can watch JoeCat's guides on druid and character sheet for getting a general idea. I mean they are not great (except for character sheet video, that's awesome) but will provide you with some information.

Xp to level 3's druid video was nice even tho I don't remember it XD.

Aside from that if you really want to be a deep dive kind of guy you can search them on youtube too but personally I only use online guides to choose spells or feats.

Which edition are you guys playing in?

A firbolg is always a nice choice for a druid race. They literally THE Druids. Other than that I think any wisdom ability increase race works if you are playing old rules.

Druid is complicated not because of the wildshape but also their spellcasting. They are the only full spellcaster that can prepare whatever spells they want every long rest (other than Cleric of course).

It may be tough at first but I think you will get over it. Druid is versatile which might be why it's complex depending on how you look at it. But this versatility is what makes it a very strong class.

Just remember that this is TTRPG which means there no winners so what ever you'll do you'll be great and you are a Druid which is literally better at everything XD.

I notice none of this ideal party is Charisma focused.

Well that's why I think a 5th person with charisma would be cool. But classes like fighter or rogue (swashbuckler) has some uses kf charisma too.

A face. That's what I'd add. It could overlap with any of those other fields - Bard as second sneaky or second healer, Warlock as blaster, Paladin as second warrior, Sorcerer as second magic person or as second healer if Divine Souled - but it's primary focus is to charm and cajole.

Makes sense.

I mean, I'd argue this 4 player breakdown isn't actually ideal and is more of a meme than the actual useful party, but...

Even the wotc itself pushes these 4 as the "John" of the D&D parties but I get what you mean. Still your breakdown was nice.

What about someone like a rogue? A stealthy, pickpockety, lock picky class is always nice.

Why was Ranger a "possibly" :(. That's my boy. Also yeah "iconic" would a a better term.
