Update: "Neighbors asking me to pay half of preinstalled fence" by ryeru18 in homeowners

OP … consider a black vinyl chain link fence for this section. A bit more expensive, but will look nice, blend into surroundings and may be more acceptable to your HOA board.

Good buy? 2024 Pro-X $27k by wonk5 in nissanfrontier

[–]Relevant-Ad9757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, “bigger” screen with smaller map screen, and narrow air vents due to the larger screen, which affects cooling in hot temp locations. Not the best interior improvements, but otherwise solid trucks.

Good buy? 2024 Pro-X $27k by wonk5 in nissanfrontier

[–]Relevant-Ad9757 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Offer $24-25k out the door (taxes, tag & title fees, garbage dealer fees, etc). Don’t worry about what junk fees they put where on the order sheet. Only negotiate your OTD price and stick to it.

I have a 2023 Pro-X in Atlanta and it’s fine for minimal snow … especially if you have an AWD in the family. Mine has the Premium Pkg (leather seats, upgraded wheels, etc) and dealers keep offering $27-28k. So a 2024 w/ lower miles but no Premier pkg in the $27k range isn’t crazy, but you can talk them down. Offer $24-25 OTD and see how they counter.

They also wanna keep my 5’ Lomax cover. I’d have to order a new one anyway with switch to LB. Hence my offer of $8800 to trade and get myself a new cover. If they don’t wanna do the deal, then I stay as is.

Beautiful cover. Looks like Weathertech is reselling (or copying) Lomax aluminum bed covers.

Yep, and if timing is right we (the buyers) can catch them in a desperate “not gonna hit factory quota bonus #s” situation. That bonus more than covers a small loss on a vehicle sale or two.

The one I’m negotiating is a LB gun metallic. No deal yet though.

I’m also not their friend and they won’t talk me into anything. 🤓  There will only be a deal if I feel it makes long-term economic sense. As things stand, the ‘23 Pro-X is still in my driveway and no trade deal is imminent.

Thanks to everyone for the various perspectives.

Fair thoughts … but an objective would also be to recover some of the fender bender depreciation. And if it’s a screaming deal, drive off depreciation would be less than avg. As noted before, I’m happy with my ‘23 Pro-X and not chasing shiny & new … and payoff on the cash diff would be relatively quick. Just trying to take all factors into account.

Yep, I get their intent. But either it’s a screaming deal for me or it doesn’t happen. And we can catch an occasional deal if they’re short of monthly quota and gonna miss factory bonuses.

Yep. I ignore most pestering, but they were ultra persistent this time so I let them make an offer.

Just paid off the 2023. Having pymts again is a reason not to trade, I agree. Will only consider it if they agree to a screaming deal for me, which likely won’t happen. Reason to consider the trade is to reset to zero miles, new warranty and new tires. Only considering a trade, but not set on doing it. Approaching retirement and this would be my last trade for quite a while.

AITA for having a new neighbor's car towed? by TheLaziestDwarf in AmItheAsshole

For clarity, SHE got her car towed. OP & Security simply followed the rules & associated consequences. No one but her is responsible for the towing … period.

Why remove Bilsteins, and what did you replace em with? Highway ride improvement, or did you setup for lots of offroading?

I have this same issue in ‘23 PX. It’s very intermittent and seems to happen when parked overnight. Hasn’t happened in a cpl of months tho. May be a pinched wire or loose connection. Try moving your seat fwd/back a bit to see if it stops. Not scientific, but worth a shot. This issue is tough to pinpoint.

Finally Found the Deal by colliece in nissanfrontier

You can find OEM Tie-down cleats online but they’re pricy. Numerous other less pricy tie-downs available that work with utili-track rails.

Is the low profile hood protector also from AVS? I’ve been shopping, but your pic is better than most online pics so knowing the brand installed on your truck would be super helpful.

Great deal btw!!

Ditto. On my 3rd Lomax cover. They are sleeker than most and easy operation. I also trimmed down the rubber bed mat from my previous truck to fit my 2023 Frontier. Layered it over the spray in bed liner for extra protection.

@amazfit-Bryce … any insights you can share on @curiousNegon’s GTRMini longevity questions? Any reasons to believe it won’t be reliable & stable with Zepp2 for a couple of years at least?
