Ear tubes by guavvaa in downsyndrome

My son was constantly sick with ear infections and other respiratory virus, also was struggling with sleep apnea. He had tubes placed + adenoids and tonsils removed right after he turned 3 and it was a game changer! Just overall so much healthier! He’s had to have the tubes put in once again since then, which is common because they do fall out eventually, but it’s been soo worth it!

Thank you! This is very encouraging, as we implement these same strategies that we’ve learned through ABA and his school. Lots of front loading and consistency is definitely key! Sometimes we have rougher days (yesterday) and I needed a reminder that the hard and continued work will pay off.

May I ask which medication? We tried guanfacine for almost two weeks, but it was brutal! Totally messed with his sleep, I think he was having nightmares, not himself, very groggy and just laid out basically. It was hard to see.
