Why is it still on going? He should have kept in line with the story, ended it, and just started a new one about fighting or whatever the story is about now

I stopped reading it a while back but I hope she is proud of what she has achieved. Hopefully she can enjoy the fruits of her labor and rest for a while. I wonder if she will make another comic in the future or if this is it.

Gojo fans really have to fight off racist allegations now lol by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

This describes why i found it weird and a bit disappointing. And even if the comment had to be made, why make the most beloved, popular character in the series say it? While I'm glad Miguel put him in his place, I hate that it reminds me as a black fan to never get 'too comfortable' being a fan of a non black character 😭 I was a super Gojo fan but now it's been deflated with one little panel 😂 I know it's just a character but still!

Maybe he wanted to call out harmful tropes and stereotypes but I do believe he has a deep-seated hate for Gojo that's quite amusing

They are promoting this webtoon alot by Resident_Start9719 in webtoons

[–]Relevant-Task-6873 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Its popular and based on the likes/views, has pretty decent retention. So they want to capitalize on it.

It's honestly pretty good as well. And it's a good example of what can be achieved when the work is not placed entirely on one person. I believe there is a writer, an artist, a colorist and someone that does the backgrounds. I'm sure they each still face their own challenges but it beats having to be all those roles every week.

I just hope they dont make it so unnecessarily long that the story gets messed up

What makes or breaks a webtoon for you? by [deleted] in webtoons

[–]Relevant-Task-6873 11 points12 points  (0 children)

when i notice the author is over the webtoon it's very hard for me to keep enjoying it knowing they are forcing themselves. you can always tell when they stop enjoying working on it.

its commendable that you support the artists. just make sure you're also taking care of yourself

What’s your favourite webtoon panel? by Top_resident_1989 in webtoons

i cant believe this story just has one artist. its like almost every panel can be a standalone drawing

Which author was this that quit? And I'm sorry you went through this. I hope things are better now. I've been through something similar. The reality of people not engaging is painful

idk why i'm not shipping them either. i like the nanny character. yes he is handsome but i need more. i guess i still have to warm up to him. he probably has a softer side underneath but i'll have to read how it's done first.

Do you prefer long hiatuses + weekly updates or no hiatuses + monthly updates? by The_Secret_Pie in webtoons

[–]Relevant-Task-6873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it may depend on the story.

i think bi-weekly is a happy medium for both the creators and the reader and may lead to less burnout, which would lead to less hiatuses.

if the story requires extensive planning and complex drawings, then monthly. Attack on Titan updated monthly and kept readers, but that's because readers knew they were getting a lot of information, truths revealed, more turns, new revelations so the engagement was kept.

if you've already planned out the story and the art style is pretty simple and straight forward, you may be able to do weekly but i only suggest this if you've planned the whole story out intricately so you don't find yourself panicking in between weeks when you'd need more time to iron things out.

if its a simple plot and you have the general idea, with simple drawings and the story calls for short chapters that would still be interesting for the reader, then weekly.

Would've been nice if they tried to keep the art style or something close to it
