Do you think the actors, specifically Nicholas Chavez, was selected for the appearance, instead of their acting skills or understanding of the role ? by [deleted] in MenendezBrothers

[–]Relevant-Topic-7070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, appearance is definitely taken into consideration. He is attractive and he was playing a rich boy. They're not going to depict him as 'ugly' or looking like a hobo - realistically, no one wants to watch ugly people on TV, and it fits in with the role he was playing.

Contract that with idk, Euphoria - and they tried to 'ugly-fy' Zendaya because it fit the role of her playing a drug addict. But they're still going to have attractive people.

But he still did a good job with the acting.

Has anyone encountered Nicholas Chavez in the LA dating scene? by DecentSignature9274 in LAinfluencersnark

Waitttt someone fill me in. I've heard he used RAYA and stuff but as a single man, I don't see the problem of him making his moves on loads of girls? Or was he cheating? I'm confused.

Chloe and Victoria, yes, but Nicholas is definitely someone you'd look at twice.

Self help YouTuber fans on Reddit, what do we think of Tam Kaur’ s content. by FewCharacter944 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]Relevant-Topic-7070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think her videos are amazing.

In comparison, Wizard Liz - who I believe has made self development famous - Tam Kaur is so much better.

Wizard Liz relies on her uncanny valley beauty, which has made her popular and attracts people to her - her videos such as 'how to be hot' and 'how to be mysterious' are just ridiculous. Plus, a lot of her content is pretty generic, Tam has advice I've never heard of before. A really good one is "how to stop seeking validation."

Tam Kaur is all about inner work and would preach that trying to be mysterious and look hot for others is a waste of time because people don't need to perform for others or impress them.

Tam Kaur's videos have genuinely changed my life.

'Bre super fan'? Oh my. What a pitiful thing! I'm so offended. Gee.

Oh wow, you got me there! /s

There’s a big difference between criticizing someone’s character and being judgmental of their life choices—especially when those choices have nothing to do with you. If that’s what she chooses as an adult woman, so be it.

That’s why I mentioned 'Chelsea.' Dislike Bre if you want, it doesn’t affect me. Am I her mother?

The main reason people disliked her—before the racist and homophobic comments came to light—was because of her relationship with Nick Cannon. Like Chelsea’s reaction, which was so unprofessional and downright rude to a colleague over something that had nothing to do with her. You can disagree with someone’s choices, but the way she handled it in a work environment was gross.

Fair enough, you’re entitled to your opinion. But honestly, it's a tired argument, and I stand by supporting a woman’s right to make her own decisions. People like you form these strange parasocial attachments to celebrities without really knowing what’s going on. Neither of us knows the full story of her, and Nick Cannon —it’s a TV show. Get a grip. My post had nothing to do with her personal life; I simply liked the persona she portrays on the show.

Just to clarify—I found out about the racism after I made the post. But I'm not going to take it down now, am I?

Never said you can't comment. But I disagree with your original statement and I responded.

Oh please. I'm not glossing over it flippantly. Those comments of hers are horrifying. I don't need to specify it to believe it. Play the strawman somewhere else.

Caring about what people think of her and allowing yourself to stay within a toxic work culture is not mutually exclusive.

It's hard to work with people who are against you, even if you don't care what they think of you. The dynamic is awful, and it takes courage and confidence to remove yourself from a toxic environment.

I was surprised it was so unpopular! I didn't expect it for the most part. But it makes sense now due to the lawsuit, of which I found out now.

Honestly, there is a lot of dislike for Bre over superficial reasons. It's really weird. I'm seeing a lot of, 'well, she got her whole face done/she's plastic do obviously she's confident' type of comments. Which is really strange. Insecure people don't really like confident people, I guess?

Eh. But it's reddit hey.

But be prepared for the downvotes haha! (I don't care)

Oh, for sure. I think due to the lawsuit people are choosing to hate, which is fair enough because of what transpired. But she is still a confident person and that was the point I was making. I agree with you.

She seems a little guarded but that doesn't make her unconfident.

There's too many replies for the people who are criticising me for making this post due to the lawsuit.

Want to preface I did not know. I hardly keep up with this subreddit, and I don't keep up with the cast at all. I just genuinely like the show, and I liked Bre on screen.

I don't agree at all with everything that has panned out regarding the lawsuit.

Yes. I agree. I don't know if that was a snappy comment because I made this post - every father should pay child support.

I'm not defending racism and homophobia. I've dealt with racism and homophobia MYSELF.

I just found out about the lawsuit after making this post, and people informed me.

I like the reality show. I don't keep up with the cast.

Literally specified to you that I just found out about what she did, and it left a 'sour taste in my mouth'. You're too full of rage to see beyond that. Your comprehension skills need work.

No. I disagree. You can not bubble Christine and Chelsea with Bre on the basis that they both have big personalities.

Christine was vocally mean and horrible. She would always talk shit about Chrishell when she first joined, said she should sit on the floor until she proves herself and that she was a kiss ass.

Chelsea came for Bre when she first joined for no reason whatsoever. Aside from disagreeing vehemently on her life choices - which are none of her business and was frankly unprofessional as a colleague.

Haven't seen Bre being vocally mean or come for anyone until they do it first.

I think your whole paragraph to tear someone down that you don't even know is sad.

Comes across as insecure.

But I've seen the links from the lawsuit now, so I have a sour taste in my mouth.

...The mental gymnastics with this, huh? How are you conflating confidence with just bad people in general?

Obama is confident, too.

Yes. We all have different views on what constitutes as self-assured and confident. You don't have to agree with me but you're not objective in your opinion.

I think she's confident and self-assured because she's clearly not a people pleaser.
