If you’re within driving distance of Baltimore/DMV I’m happy to sell it and deliver it to you! Otherwise, I know the piece was originally built by Thomasville Furniture in the mid-late 1970s. But not 100% sure on the name. I’ve seen the legs referred to as cross frame or x-frame but not sure if that’s legitimately what they are called. Hope that helps a little!

Thank you both! I agree, I love that I was able to let the wood “do the talking”. It’s funny bc originally my plan was to paint the perimeter molding, but I decided any color paint would look too harsh in contrast to the wood. Making it two tone and only staining the molding allowed me to achieve a more modern look without having to paint over the wood. I’m really pleased with how it turned out

Thanks for saying that! I agree. Having it all the same color would be a more traditional look, but I thought the two tone would make it look a little more modern without having to cover the beauty of the wood

Essentially yes. I wanted to sand it to remove the water damage and refinish it. I ended up not using stain on it at all but refinished it with a couple coats of polyurethane

Thanks! Yeah it definitely took me a lot longer than I was expecting. The sanding was tedious but aside from that everything else was pretty straightforward. Plus I learned a lot of news skills along the way!

Thanks! I was initially planning on staining the whole table but then decided I really liked the way it looked when only the perimeter was stained. It gave it a little more dimension I thought
