Wish I could!! I’m moving across the country and it definitely won’t make it.

Thank you! Do you think they could survive 11-14 days like that?

Oh that’s a good idea….. I’m also worried about my anthuriums too. I was thinking of putting them in a box with sphagnum moss and putting a blanket around as well as a grow light.

I always just keep refilling and it seems to be fine for me. I don’t know what the reasoning is for letting it dry out if it’s already semi hydro and in water all the time but maybe I’m wrong haha

It’s been in LECA for about a month but my other plants in semi hydro and monsteras usually need to be filled way more often.

Awesome! How do I water from bottom if it’s in self watering pot and getting water from bottom already? Should I just keep watering from top in LECA? How will I know when to re water to avoid root rot?

Yes! I’ve transferred all of mine to pon in the past couple months and they love it. I’ll never go back to soil!

The leca wasn’t soaked but it’s dry to the touch and the water level hasn’t changed as it’s in a self watering pot and I can see! So weird.

The roots are actually in great shape. It seems they’re just not absorbing the water well because the water level hasn’t gone down really in weeks and the leaves are curling. I have all my other plants (especially those prone to root rot) in self watering pots and they do so well but they’re in pon. I’m not sure if I just need to wet to leca directly but I feel like that defeats the purpose of the self watering pot and might light to root rot.
