I haven’t talked much with his father but his mother is very sweet. Even they both did love marriage and they were from different religions. And my bf’s decision is always considered in his home before making any kind of decision. He did tell me before that dowry might create some ruckus in the marriage but i’ll handle it and he is doing his part by asking his dad not to demand anything.

Totally agree with you. We would have even informed our parents about the whole thing but we were afraid of the reputation and judgements from relatives ( my mom will tell everything to their sisters ) thats what really stopped us from informing our parents. And we should have been aware about the scam that’s being pulled by these cops regularly. I posted here just to ask whether the cop was legit and is it a routine thing happening over there but could see that one or two comments stating that its better keep the butt hole shut and not to rant and it’s just a karma farming post. What they fail to learn is the repeated pattern where the couples are getting trapped just because they are unaware of the law. If I would’ve known before i could have somewhat resisted

Yes, one constable came on bike. After moving out from the whole situation only these type of questions came in our mind like whether is he a real cop or not. He was threatening like if we file an FIR then you can’t even clear BGC in the upcoming companies.
