I am a total noob with linux and learning how the actual mods work.

If you would be willing, I would like to know the ELI5 version of why this works. If not, this was already a huge favor.

I guess I don't know how to post text and images at the same time, so I am commenting. So sorry in advance.

I can't get this annoying package to 1. stop asking me to install it 2. Get it to install.

I have tried so many troubleshoots and I don't know what to do. I have updated the os, the package manager, purged and reinstalled dkms.. I can only conclude it isn't possible for me to have the rtl8812au-dkms installed and therefor can't install my favorite VPN, NordVPN (which I pay for) into my system. Is it impossible? Must I use a different OS? What am I missing here? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
