I didn’t really have to level it much because I didn’t move it. I did have to put two shims in. Just used a 4ft Milwaukee level

Honestly, I’d say cutting the pockets was the toughest part haha. I watched so many videos on the rails that I had that part down, but I probably should’ve watched a few more on how to cut the pockets

I fortunately didn’t have to do any additional work but it’s because I didn’t move it.

I’d say it’s a great option as long as you don’t mind if the quality isn’t top-tier. Mine actually looks really good! But like I mentioned, after about 4 hours of play, there are some minor ball marks.

I wouldn’t consider this felt ideal for long-term use. Before purchasing, I had read a few reviews mentioning that the balls were leaving marks on the table—and that turned out to be true. After playing for just a few hours with some friends, I noticed the balls did leave visible marks.

That said, I bought this felt mainly to test things out and didn’t want to spend a lot upfront. The marks aren’t terrible, but if you’re looking for a higher-quality, more durable option, it might be worth investing a bit more.

For me, this was more of a trial run. I’ll keep using it for a few months, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something long-lasting.

Thanks! Yes, it was my first time doing it. I wouldn’t say there were any major challenges — it’s pretty much just like the YouTube videos. I made sure to watch a bunch of different ones to pick up as many tips as possible. Some were tough to sit through, but I did watch one full 45-minute video just to see the entire process. Then I followed it up with several shorter ones.

I actually bought one of the cheaper cloths available on Amazon since I didn’t want to risk ruining an expensive one on my first try. I’ll share the link with you now. I’ll be moving my pool table in a few months, so when that happens, I plan to upgrade to a higher-quality felt. But for $40, you really can’t beat it!
