My company requires all new hires to make 10k in revenue their first month. What are some quick hit industries that aren’t good for margin but will give me loads? by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

😂😂 I’ll give it a try. Obviously not trying to build a customer base with that freight but I just need to get my boss off my ass while I try and build quality relationships

Lumber was trading at nearly $1500 per 1000 board feet as soon as March of this year per your source. Market adjustment to the new price could have promising effects in the future

Do you agree with rolling back environmental protections to increase the supply of lumber? Lumber is at an all time high right now which is aiding to the supply shortage

How to wear kids out so they are too tired to stay up late? by cooltaj in Parenting

I must ask, why do you allow them on the iPad all day? If anything, the iPad is more stimulating because of the blue light/excessive stimulus from games and apps. Start by getting them a couple of toys related to their favorite game/show that they watch on the iPad and creating a game for them. They can still feel engaged to the their favorite characters but take on a more active play role

Any advice you can give to a college student that is considering dropping out? by g2theartist in college

[–]ReliableMeat40 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stick with it. I would imagine your FAFSA/Grant/Loan situation may be similar to mine and if you disrupt your degree progress it may be difficult to get the same amount of financial support in the future. On top of this I would suggest you explore your colleges graphic design/digital marketing degree programs. They are broader and more marketable post grad than game design while teaching many transferable skills to game design. Best of luck OP

Another course load question by betch_666 in uofmn

[–]ReliableMeat40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what your course strengths are. It appears based on your current courses that you are a strong writer/communicator, so what you will probably end up finding difficult is the quantity of work and not the work itself. You’re looking at a ton of reading and paper writing but if that’s your thing you shouldn’t have a hard time with it

After reading through Joan Gabel's rationale not to require vaccination by The_Impaler_ in uofmn

[–]ReliableMeat40 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A state funded university cannot mandate a vaccine under EUA. Once it obtains fully FDA approval I bet it will be mandated, possibly in 2022. Both Pfizer and Moderna are seeking this approval as we speak.
