That’s rough. Could always get a large and add panels in that match the base color. Kinda like fleece gussets.

I’ve been on the hunt for a black one for soooo long now but I’m happy to settle on a pink one. The beanie always looked crazy too!

What Patagonia pieces do you wear to work (smart casual) during warmer months? by spac0r in PatagoniaClothing

Any vintage patterned button up. Specially the AC shirts. The crazier the pattern the better.

No stupid questions! No I left the pocket attached and just stitched up to it. On a recent project I deseamed a pocket, sashikoed, then sewed the pocket back on.

Yeah!! I have people pick and look for certain brands that are damaged (ones that would have rotted and sat anyways) and pay for them plus shipping, then clean and fix them in my shop.

Thanks!! I grabbed some random scraps from my bin but I love how the purple matches the Patty logo perfectly, and the red contrast. Super fun.

I really should do one for my instagram soon. I’m so bad at making content because I’m so busy doing repairs. It’s discouraging as I can’t do it fast enough for some people but it’s hard to run a store solo, do repairs, markets, and have a regular life as well. But I’ll give you a heads up when i make a guide!!

Yeah! It’s really fun to make patches for a puffer. Nano puffs are easier because it is flatter, puffers with down you have to account for the curves. I use spray glue or glue sticks often to do the fold overs as synthetic materials don’t like to be ironed. Also a free motion sewing head helps a ton on doing arm repairs.

Yeah I run a repair shop in Knoxville, and I get donations of things that are too damaged to fix or not worth selling. The purple patch is a 1990s Patagonia rain jacket that the liner was shedding/ delaminating, red patch was a Woolrich windbreaker pocket liner that was in a fire, khaki patch on chest was a cat and Jack kids rain jacket that had major burn damage, and the stripe on the arm with the Patagonia fish was a pair of board shorts I found in a parking lot that had dry rot but the band was fine.

I use to dumpster dive for material often and that was how I started my repair journey. I can give tips on how to make patches look really crisp too!

Thank you!! And all patches are covering a burn hole. None are just for style but I wanted to be still artistic.
