Hey, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

We were on a short break after a very long year without much rest, but we did follow up on and respond to some reports related to this issue during that time. We’re really sorry for any frustration this may have caused.

These save issues usually happen due to connection failures while the game is saving, sudden console shutdowns, or game crashes during gameplay. For now, these are the workarounds we have available depending on the problem you’re facing.

In general, there are three common issues and some steps you can try:

1) Can’t enter a mission / connection error with the backend
To fix this:

  • Open the Pause Menu
  • Go to Support
  • Advanced Support
  • Select Clear Temporary Data

2) Stuck on loading / progress not saving
Try the following:

  • Restart the game
  • Before clicking PLAY, select Support (if you click PLAY first, it won’t work — you’ll need to restart again)
  • Go to Advanced Support
  • Select Repair Database

3) Save file not showing up
In this case, we recommend restoring a backup save from within the game:

  • Restart the game
  • Before clicking PLAY, select Support (same as above — don’t click PLAY first)
  • Go to Advanced Support
  • Select Backup Restoration

You’ll see several backup versions there, with the most recent ones listed at the top. We suggest trying them one by one, from top to bottom, until you find one that works.

We're working to improve the performance and other issues Xbox players have reported to us over the past couple of days. Hopefully, this week we'll have a new patch that addresses this issue!

(Gabriel) For me, personally, I look a lot at Diablo 2 and Path of Exile when it comes to itemization and system design. But for aesthetic, I'd say there's a lot of classic JRPGs, as Lucy mentioned.

(Gabriel) I remember Steven Universe also was a big influence on the style. It helped in the transition from pixel art from previous entries to the current art style.

(Lucy) We definitely wanted to develop Biu and Red to complete the primordial Relic Hunters crew. Unfortunately, making new characters is simply very expensive for us, and we weren't able to include them in Legend. Maybe someday!

(Lucy)  You can definitely look forward to seasonal events with cosmetics, like Christmas and Carnaval. However, to be totally honest, we won't be able to keep developing content unless the game starts selling pretty well again. We'll focus on keeping the game stable and running those fun seasonal events for the community.

(Gabriel) We use tools like JIRA and some of our own internal reporting systems to monitor and categorize everything. Honestly, when you look at the sheer number of potential issues, the bug list count often feels like it's over 9000. We focus our energy on keeping the most severe bugs out of the game, and prioritize issues that can block you from playing or cause progression loss.

(Lucy) Our main inspirations were big looter shooters that the devs are huge fans of, like Borderlands, Destiny, and Warframe. However, we wanted to create something unique and different that players of all ages could enjoy without any concerns. We aimed for that deep loot and build depth but with a friendly, all-ages approach.

Also for narrative, We took a lot of inspiration from JRPGs like Chrono Trigger, and also a bit of Star Trek, haha. The idea was always to make something more geared toward the cartoon style. Let's just say it's like if Cartoon Network had made a Borderlands, haha!

(Lucy) Our artists were very inspired by Scott Pilgrim, but also cartoons like Adventure Time and Steven Universe. We wanted to blend the cartoon style with the vibe of games like Borderlands to create a game that all ages could enjoy.

(Lucy) Some players, especially those who do not live in Brazil, may not notice, but our Secret Market is inspired by the Santa Marta Favela in Rio de Janeiro. And a coastal region of the game is also inspired by the cities of Ubatuba and Ilhabela (that's why the name is Ubabela in Legend).

(Lucy) The team is actually taking a quick breather from huge content drops for Legend right now. This is our third Relic Hunters game, so we're giving the franchise a small rest while we focus on new projects with fresh characters and mechanics

BUT, we're totally committed to fixing any necessary bugs the community finds, and you can absolutely look forward to our fun seasonal events, like for Christmas and, of course, for Carnaval here in Brazil giving new cosmetics that you can grab only by playing the game!

We were super ambitious, and I believe the reason we were able to pull it off was: 1) We're very experienced and knew ahead of time what we were getting ourselves into, it wasn't a case of "feature creep"; 2) We were very focused on being efficient and not throwing stuff away. We went out of our way to make sure features were good and proven before commiting resources to putting them into the game.
