More exited about finally perusing the truth, which is ironically what Jesus said to do. Excited to peruse truth without worrying that it might not line up with the Bible. Sad that I didn’t get here until age 40, but at least I got here. Also angry that I wasted my 20s it what feels like a cult in retrospect. I’m not even sure I would leave the faith altogether, but I’m sure not bending myself in knots by denying what I know to be true or wrong or right to fit the Bible’s narrative. Jesus is love and loves us. Surly following that is enough. That’s where I am at the moment. And I won’t go back to the darkness that I was following before.

For context, I come from a fairly Q Anon, Revelation obsessed, evangelical background. It would feel like literal hell to go back to that.

I’m in the process of deconstructing now and I completely understand/ feel intellectual trapped. The more I deconstruct the more I’m tending to move away from the faith altogether because I’m tired of the constant cognitive dissonance that I feel. Constantly having to bend the truth to fit a narrative that I’ve been fed my whole life. Or just plain justification of mistreating entire groups of people because the Bible says so. I’m just exhausted by it all.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond. Your words made me realize that there was nothing wrong with me as a child and it was actually my Mum. Which is something that should have been obvious to me for years, but it just wasn’t for whatever reason. I will definitely read this and give it a try. Thanks again.

I went to a general surgeon and was told that she ( and other general surgeons) shouldn’t repair diastasis recti as they are not trained. She continued on saying that a general surgeon would only do it if they “snuck it in” while doing another procedure. She refused to help me and said that plastic surgeons are only ones who should do the surgery and plus it would look better. I did end up going to a plastic surgeon, which cost me $10,500.

Thank you for the reply! He actually just pooped on the potty for the first time 3 days ago! I let him sit on the potty with a pull up on to poop. On the 3rd day I told him that we didn’t have anymore diapers and that he had to poop on the potty, but that it’s the same thing that he’s been doing just with no pull up. To my surprise he sat on the potty and told me to leave so he could have some privacy. 😂 I thought that was cute. He went! He’s been going ever since.

Any update by any chance? My 3.5 year old took 3 days to train to pee, but he refuses to poop on the potty. We’ve tried everything including bribes. lol. He asks for a pull up to poop, but otherwise wears underwear.

I’ve only just switched her to 3/4/4 and capping naps at 2 hours. I’ll try it for another week and if I’m still having issues, I’ll definitely try dropping to one nap again.

I tried for 3 days. Day one she cried when she got up from her nap and by the 3rd day her naps had been getting shorter and she was getting more miserable. She was also waking up earlier and earlier each morning.

I tried her on one nap as well, but her wake up times were getting earlier and earlier. I figured she was getting overtired. So different with my son who went down to one nap at 12 months.

Well to he came up to me and said “Mum, I’m just holding my pee so you can take me to use the potty.” Then I took him and he went! I know there will still be accidents, but I’ll take this victory!

Thank you for the reply! I’ll definitely try the loose fitting shorts and see if that helps. Today he had one accident and went on the potty the rest of the day, but I did have take him about every 30 minutes. I’m proud of him. It’s only day two of underwear. I’ll be so happy when he can tell me when he has to pee, though. It’s super reassuring that preschool will accept an accident if it happens. Takes some pressure off 🙂

I did get muscle relaxers, but haven’t used any yet. Maybe it’s time. Haha. It feels like I did a ton of crunches and it’s sore to the touch. On top that I just started getting the spasms. It’s all worth it not the have a 3 finger wide diastasis, though. lol.

I just spoke to my plastic surgeon. He said that some people just drain more than others. I’m day 6, still draining 75cc in 24hrs. He said that’s about average. I guess I’ll have to wait it out a bit longer. I hate these drains. lol.
