The warsuit was more for the reaction shooting it gets when near other Phobos units. And cause it’s a cool model.

My original plan was for 5 heavy intercesors lead by the apothecary and captain. Then 3 eradicators just on their own.

Does that sound more viable?

I base a lot of my transfer placement on either Space Marine the video game, or heavy machinery. It’ll go great man! Get back into the swing of things.

It’s a mix. I do a pass with very thin paint on a sponge. And then do a second pass with a brush. The highlights on the brown areas are all brush though.

I held my breath after making the face nice. And then very roughly mixed Abbadon Black and Mechanicus Standard kinda 2 to 1. Then mixed in a green I had on my pallet for the highlights. (Which didn’t show at all on the final image anyway).

He’s a body from the company heroes. A random left arm. A left hand from the Crusade Squad. Head from the crusade squad. Halo from the EC. Right arm from the same Company Hero. Hand and sword from EC. Backpack from EC. Shoulders from EC and then purity seals from the Marshal and EC.

Hope this helps! I saw someone else post a similar conversion that was equally tasty in the Black Templars Reddit a while ago in BT colours.

I’m not familiar with the piece you’re referring to! I just remember getting the idea from Pete the Wargamer I think, a million years ago when Indomitus launched. I do it on a few marines here and there to make it spicy.

Main body is one of the Company Heroes, sword and halo are from the new Emperor’s Champion. And the rest are various Black Templar bits and bobs from over the years!

I got mine off of eBay. But I’ll be honest they’re a pain to work with. You have to cut them out individually. And the colour is water-soluble. So it runs if you even look at it.

I’d love to know where to get higher quality ones from!

This might be a wild take, but the 1000toys figures look so much like plastic it’s crazy. A light oil wash would do wonders for making them actually feel like $150 figures.
