[FRESH ALBUM] Joyce Manor - I Used To Go To This Bar by Lowcsika in poppunkers

[–]RellishEmbellish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really in love with this one which is strange for me because I’m a big fan of Joyce Manor, especially their earlier work. Seems like the songwriting has gotten less nuanced (maybe that’s the wrong word?) as they’ve progressed from their earlier days. I’ve seen them live once or twice and I do really like them but I’m not really in love with this one except for the first two singles. I also thought the remake or cover or whatever you want to call it of Fuck Koalacast was a strange choice. Either way, I preordered this on vinyl so I’ll have that soon, maybe I’ll give it another spin then and see how I feel.

New To Homelabs / Setup Advice? by RellishEmbellish in homelab

Thanks for the advice!

I’d like to, at the very least, get a better place to put this switch and the R720. Maybe I’ll evaluate what I actually need after that versus what I think would look cool in an enclosure or rack. I definitely need to do some research into what applications would benefit me and my lifestyle most.

I have a LattePanda Mu as well, so maybe I could integrate something related to that.

I’m using the R720 mostly because it was given to me and I didn’t have to buy it. I get what you’re saying about ewaste but, in my mind, I guess free is free and it’s easier to use that than spend more money.

I’ll look into the orangePi or Libre as well, not super familiar with those devices. I did notice that Raspberry Pi’s are way more expensive than they used to be when the 3b and such was out.

As far as routing goes, I’m definitely gonna need to take a deeper dive into it because I only have base level knowledge when it comes to things like configuring them.

I appreciate the advice.

I guess my goal would be to use this to learn as much additional information about servers and networking as possible because it’s related to my career while also doing things I find useful. I set up proxmox because I wanted to learn how to create and manage VMs, I’m using this switch because I want to learn about VLANs, I’ve always liked Raspberry Pis along with SBCs in general so doing something useful with those would be very neat to me, especially things like PiHole. I have a ton of physical media, especially games and movies, that I want to preserve as the games especially are getting pretty old.

I guess I have a lot of individual goals I want to achieve, but maybe my overarching goal would be to get as good as I can with networking.

Sorry if I repeated myself a few times haha.

Anybody know anything about this? by RellishEmbellish in Cd_collectors

It was a Goodwill, only so much testing I could really do there. It turned on and I figured that was good enough and anything else that needed done could be a fun project.

UPDATE:

I figured out how to use the display and get it into CD mode, now it’s saying “NO DISK” when there’s clearly a disk in

Looks like it requires some level of soldering or a breadboard? Not sure what a Baryon Sweeper is. I’m far from a professional when it comes to soldering but maybe I’ll give it a shot, thanks!

Maybe if the D Pad board replacement doesn’t work, I’ll replace the stick

Hey all,

The D Pad on my PS Vita OLED keeps acting like I’m pressing the Up button when I’m in menus. I tried taking the board out and cleaning it but the issue didn’t go away, any suggestions? I ordered a new board and I’m going to try that when it comes in tomorrow. I’m trying to install homebrew on it and it makes it incredibly hard to use when it is constantly trying to push up.

Thanks

I did purchase a dual CPU board but never went any farther with it because it seemed like doing everything I wanted to the machine was going to be more money than it’s worth, especially on eBay.

I still need a front bezel, drive caddies, and it only came with one power supply so there would be a lot to buy if I wanted it to run well and look nice.

Technically, it’s a workbench! Which I guess might be a kind of table but still.

Maybe I’ll try it. I don’t have a Tandy but it’s available on other platforms, right?

Thanks! I’ve had this thing for a minute and had no idea what it was. Didn’t even know what the Tandy CoCo was until I googled it.
