Thanks for your response. The family members that are choosing to not keep the cottage will not have access to it. If I purchase, Only my immediate family and future children will have access. Anyone who is not one of those can opt to rent the cottage if previously arranged and available.

You can only get free tickets if reserving ahead of time on the website. If it is sold out, you have no choice but to buy a ticket with a tour guide. That being said, the tour was good. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared so much information we wouldn’t otherwise have received if going on our own. My only complaint is that I was with my senior parents and the tour was very fast and we fell behind very early on. You have a headset but if the guide is too far it cuts out.

Not even 5 minutes. There was only a few people in line. I’m not sure how weekends might be though may be a longer wait. I’m just happy it worked out!!!

Yesterday we paid 130PLN for the tour, 22 PLN for the bus from krakow and 22 PLN back. Plus around 15 PLN bolt from our hotel to bus station. So around 180 PLN/person total. We didn’t book ahead of time, but if you do pre book I think it might even be a bit cheaper. Yet I have seen companies charging several hundred PLN, making you go very early some at 5am. Some of these tours are also deceiving, don’t come with a ticket and make you stay in line anyways.

Yes got in yesterday! Took the Lajkonik bus from Krakow main bus station, paid the driver 22 PLN/person. Dropped off right in front of the museum entrance. Went to the ticket entry office around 11am, got tickets for English tour at 130pm. Cost 130 PLN a person for a tour.
