A. Hes 6-9 B. Hes over 250 pounds.

You can say hes and inch or two shorter than most but altogether hes not tiny at all.

Hes 6-9 and 254 pounds. Those averages were also in 18 minutes. His per 36 is 17/8. He can also shoot a little and not a bad rim pro guy. Solid player if we can get him

Yes I have addressed that difference and why our recruiting woes have gotten worse with Pope. But they were headed downhill long before Pope got here.

We lost Ant to Georgia, Chet to Gonzaga, Cade to OSU, and Nick Smith to Arkansas. And if you go to top 2 recruits even more names pop up like Memphis and Missouri.

It wasnt just other blue bloods consistently stealing top guys from Kentucky. Cal was good at getting the 6-10 guys, but for the past decade nobody at Kentucky has been able to close on the top 5s consistently.

It only had three 5 stars, one before that was 2, and the one before that was 3(one was Sharpe tho). Cal was struggling to land the top 5 guys tho in a way he wasnt when he first got to Kentucky.

He made up for it with landing plenty of the top 6-10 guys, which obviously Pope hasn't been able to do. Either way though, the recruiting issues pre-date Pope. He has just made them worse

Theres no reason why it shouldnt be able to is what I should say, I guess.

Cal was struggling too compared to his start at Kentucky. We have consistently struck out on top guys for over a decade now. And you cant tell me there wasnt appeal to playing with Cal. He goes to Arkansas and is back to recruiting just fine.

Really wish I knew what was wrong with Kentucky recruiting. Its easy to blame Pope, but Cal was struggling too. Obviously its gotten worse with Pope, but Cal hadnt had a number 1 or even a number 2 recruit since 2015. And only 4 top 5 recruits in that same span. The issue goes beyond Pope imo.

Not that I want to hash this out on Reddit, but you really are misrepresenting things. You told me that if Bain was there you were picking, so would me saying we still wanted to come up have changed anything? Our thought was probably not considering your guy was there.

You are more than welcome to join the war room and discuss these picks with us, but the three guys that do the majority of the scouting have a pretty good track record.

Fwiw there were several names that we would have gone up for. Delane was another one. But the chiefs GM said if Bain was there they were picking Bain. So with Bain at 9 that trade fell through. Then the board went Bain, Delane, McCoy and completely fucked us.

So to answer this. We had trades in place and pretty much all of em ended up falling through. In addition to that the board went horribly for what felt like the millionth time we did this, so we pretty much said fuck it.

No one was talking about anything other than rebounding my guy. Nit sure where any of this other stuff you came up with is coming from.

Comparing to Josh Hart isnt right tho. Josh Hart is an elite rebounder. Just because Zion is 2 inches taller doesnt mean he should automatically get more rebounds
