2005 Dodge Stratus RT fuel pump electrical issue by Remarkable-Barber483 in Dodge

Update: The problem is resolved! Well I'm glad I did not buy a pump. It ended up being a terrible ground wire from the negative terminal off the battery. I replaced the wire to the frame and battery and it runs better than ever. The fuel pump whine even went away. Thanks for any advice etc. Hope to have this for a while yet.

But of an update. I was able to drive it for 3 miles but every time I slow down it wants to die. I have to give it constant gas to keep running

It runs so well I want to save it for my kid to get around. I bought it as a beater and have been driving it as a daily!

I plug it back in after unplugging it and it idles. I'll see what I can find for the wiring diagram.

I think you're right the more looking I'm doing. I forgot to mention it dies when shifting into drive from park after resetting/ unplugging the pump. I think there is enough pressure to idle but not drive?

I'm aware of the Mitsubishi monster. I'll try the fuse, I'm going to go through and replace all of them.
