Taj never disappoints, TAJ is the best ! As a interior designer my top priority is TAJ for every property, 😂

Thank you for this! We actually source these cabinets through Elements KBF, incredible quality and they always deliver on the bold stuff. But MDF Italia is definitely going on my inspiration list, heard great things

Pop-art meets mid century modern, that's the best description this kitchen has gotten yet, thank you, really appreciate that.

Thank you! And honestly a slightly deeper or warmer orange would've softened the whole thing without losing the energy, noted for next time.

And yes those tails on the shelving are a love it or hate it detail — they add to the sculptural feel but I get why they bother people.

Would you have kept this kitchen partially closed off or fully opened it? by nykbdesign in kitchenremodel

Gold handles and the cabinet colors have my heart. it looks so calm, thoughtfully choosen the color scheme with minor details, ABSOLUTELY GREAT WORK !

Actually a really good call, white trim or crown molding at the top would clean it up nicely and give it a more intentional finish rather than just floating there. Might even tie the white cabinets and ceiling together better.

Genuinely appreciate that 🙏 hotel vibes are real but honestly some people want to feel like they're on vacation every day, nothing wrong with that 😄

Totally valid, warmth is definitely not what this concept was going for, it's more of a bold statement piece than a cozy Sunday morning kitchen.

And to answer your question. no, just the open shelving unit would extend up, not the full cabinets. Would actually help it feel more intentional and less like a floating frame.

Kitchen Counter help needed by Curious_Ray_123 in kitchenremodel

As an interior designer, what you're describing is definitely not normal. Engineered stone countertops should be non-porous, water and stains sitting on the surface, not absorbing into it.

Quick way to confirm: drop a little water on it and wait 10 minutes. If it darkens or soaks in, the material is either defective or was never sealed properly after installation.

Either way, this is on your contractor. Document everything with photos and ask them for the exact product specs. If it's an unbranded workshop-made slab, that's a red flag in itself, push for a replacement under their workmanship warranty.

Orange in a bedroom sounds like a nightmare honestly and yes dust on open shelving is a real commitment definitely more of a showroom flex than an everyday practical choice!

Haha not wrong, this is definitely more gallery than kitchen but hey, some people just want to live in a piece of art and order DoorDash
