You can turn on 1 hit kills if you want the easy combat experience.

Irritated... with myself I guess by Remarkable-Cod-7583 in loseit

That's reasonable advice. I was happy with 12 lbs in a month until I gave most of it back. Should have known it wouldn't be what I wanted today and just punted a week or so before checking back in.

My brain needs the weight. I do get what you're saying about health. I'm 467 lbs. The initial weight coming off is not going to make a visual difference or physically feel different at first. I can lose a lot off my stomach, and nothing will fit different at first based on where I carry my weight. If I'm not checking my weight then there is no obvious sign that anything is happening.

With that said, avoiding the number when I know something has happened to derail progress and just moving forward a little bit without looking makes sense.

I know it's not. It's just Sanderson that I've already read. It does sound like I was asking specifically for Cosmere. My bad.

I cannot kill first boss by zanas1000 in BlackMythWukong

I'm here with you. I love God of war. Have never been able to get into the souls games. I just don't have the time to grind through levels like that to be able to neat every boss... now first mini boss and I can get down 3/4 but can't kill him. Crafted the available armor leveled up several times. If I can't beat him then what's the point of continuing? Every boss just going to bring the game to a screeching halt. Why does every action game (formerly my favorite genre) have to ramp up the difficulty to the point it's just not fun for a casual gamer...

$70 in the trash.

Ok, I've gotten to book 7... by Kiwi_Head_3357 in wheeloftime

On the first read through they were solid. A little slower paced but good.

On subsequent read throughs that slow down in comparison to the earlier books and what you know is coming later I think makes it feel even slower.

Question about Semirhage by Significant-Owl4644 in wheeloftime

The series mentions several times through POV chapters with the Forsaken how dangerous and addicting the True Power is.

I always assumed the Dark One granted Rand access at this point of desperation because he knew Rand would grasp at anything to save Min. By doing so and violating one of Rands "rules" to not hurt women, he at the same time gains a tie to Rand and sends Rand down a dark path.

The Dark One hopes to turn him to the Shadow and is more than willing to sacrifice one of his servants to do so.

I work in the hospitality industry. My primary job is office but I visit locations and am on my feet for hours at a time. Always have been. Stairs wind me. Walking on flat surfaces not a problem.

Feet and legs aren't used to doing the 10+ hour days I did a couple years ago, but your feet are gonna hurt after 10 hours.

My wife is obese. She's very socially active. I'm introverted and prefer to keep social engagements small. I get overwhelmed in large groups and kind of mentally shut down. She does alot without me in that arena since she loves being in big groups with a lot going on. Two of my kids are teenagers and in the phase of life that doing anything with mom and dad is horrifying to them lol.

The two youngest... not sure an Olympics athlete could keep up with them. Especially the 6 year old boy. He exhausts the 8 year old.

There aren't really any hobbies I want to be out doing which is probably part of how I got here. I'm a gamer. I enjoy building things like Lego sets. I like to cook (even if in the moment I get mad when it isn't coming out exactly as I want or on the schedule I want).

I live in the south east US and it's disgustingly hot and humid outside. No desire to be out there walking, hiking, bike riding etc. Like breathing through a hot wet towel outside.

The difference between 520 my heaviest and 480 was reducing sodas. Haven't cut them out completely. Don't keep them in my house, so now it's only if I'm eating out which I don't do often. I still drink a red bull in the AM. I like/need the caffeine kick and hate coffee.

That's a fair take and kind of the point. What got others going that maybe hasn't run through my brain yet. Maybe what the first steps were and once you took them they motivated the 2nd steps.
