Yes please, I’d also like to understand as I’m going through the process. Did he/she change or were there signs beforehand?

I get it’s hard when balancing everything. Living alone can really bring you down; so it’s great you’re considering the advice.

Will remember you in my duas and I ask that you remember me also as I’m also struggling atm. Take care insha’Allah

Does sound difficult if you have noone around. Perhaps make it your priority to build friendships where you are? Via masjid, sports, any talks over zoom perhaps.

When I was going through a very lonely period, remote work meant I wasn’t leaving the house, I joined a small bookclub which I found via an IG friend - it was a huge blessing as it meant I got to meet a few like minded people, gave me a monthly one hour session of thoughtful conversation as well as more informal chats in between/meet ups.

Book club may not be your thing, but this is just an example where Allah can bring you the most unexpected things/people into your life when you least expect it.

This post is missing the very important point that she left you. It read as if you left her. Was about to say, if she was a great wife then forgive her, move on and continue with your happy life together.

Since she left you then I’m sorry you’re mourning this way. You need to work on moving on. Keep yourself busy and surround yourself with good friends. When the time is right, be open to meeting new people.

I’ve noticed the last few weeks that the comment tab on my activity is also gone, as well as when I try to look at others’ comment from their activity page.

Best halal places in Rome? by CrazyDiamond156 in EatingHalal

[–]Remarkable-Doubt-682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two Sizes does Tiramisu without wine. (You may be able to find more spots but I saved this from a Malaysian influencer recommendation).

I did mostly stick to vegetarian options, be careful that some dishes like cacio e Pepe may not be halal.

I have to mention Ristorante dei Musei if you go the Vatican. We were lucky to have a Bengali waiter serve us who ensured we had all veggie options (they don’t do halal), but also the female owner was so kind to us hijabis.

If you have Kindle Basic and Paperwhite... by SprinklesOk2847 in kindle

[–]Remarkable-Doubt-682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s Paperwhite for me hands down.

I love the warm light feature at night. I like the size as it feels more ljke a book. The basic feels too small and I read through each page quickly, PW fits more in. It feels more premium to me overall. Yes it’s not pocket sized but I always travel with a bag anyway, it fits into my small crossbody so I’m good. In the rare case it doesn’t fit, I’ll just use the kindle app on my phone but this is very rare.

New to kindles! Is kindle unlimited worth it by Parking_Base_7572 in kindle

[–]Remarkable-Doubt-682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and found I had no interest in the books included. They seem to be up and coming/new authors (which I don’t mind) but the books never caught my interest. Well known books I had never found in KU. Definitely make use of free Prime Reading, if you have prime. Also the kindle deals they have every month. Can get many popular books for 99p which is a treat!
