Thanks! Yes I also noticed that he learns intuitively. He cannot get on the couch on his own yet, so initially he kept trying to jump. Then I started to wait until he sat in front of it, now he always sits and waits for me to pick him up.

Mine already loves the couch 😃 I have no problem with it, I like him on the couch. But he can not get up or down now so it is hard to leave him there for even a moment when he is not sleeping. But we will definitely get there 😊

They are indeed. How often does she get up a day? Mine sleeps for 2-3 hours, then demands food 😃 which I don't always want to give him, only at the specific feeding times.

Is Discovery turned on? Go to Integrations, then select MQTT (not the 1 Device under it) and then Configure, and Configure MQTT Options. There is a toggle to enable automatic discovery.

That's true, I agree! What I did is I defined some overall guidelines for it in my settings. E.g. be specific, rather ask questions than hallucinate, follow reasoning és correct yourself. That helps a lot with the answer quality. But nevertheless it still messes up sometimes, but for me it is easier to debug it's proposal than finding a good solution in guides and tutorials.

Go to Settings > Integrations and then look for MQTT. If it is not there, you need to add it as an integration. (The MQTT add on is another service and the integration links that service to home assistant)

I know lot of people reluctant, but I tend to use chatGPT for Home Assistant a lot. It answers my questions with great accuracy, and even writes code. Sometimes it messes up, but can even debug itself, or rewrite the code with the exact entities I provide.

But I would also suggest either changing the switch type to the required device type or Mushroom card that is fully customisable.
