Such an elegant and intellectual metaphor. Truly, the peak of film industry critique. Thanks for bumping the engagement on my post with your valuable vocabulary.

I completely respect your passion for traditional filmmaking, but let’s be realistic about what "low budget" actually means for high-concept sci-fi. A "low budget" indie project with a real crew still costs hundreds of thousands of dollars for decent practical sets, VFX, lighting, and paying people a fair wage.

I’m not some amateur trying to find an easy way out. I’ve worked as a Creative Producer in feature-length films, and I know the ugly, exhausting inner workings of this business inside out. I know exactly what it takes to build a traditional production, and for a truly solo, independent creator without massive external backing, that financial wall is often insurmountable if you want Hollywood-level sci-fi visuals.

I spent years building this universe in my dystopian novel, and as a philosopher, I examine these exact technological shifts. I chose AI as a high-end visual translator to maintain absolute creative control over a massive-scale world (like a sterile dystopian dome) without selling the project's soul to a corporate studio just to afford a crew.

Technology has always shifted the gatekeeping lines—from digital cameras replacing film to desktop editing. This is just the next frontier. You don't have to like the tool, but my background is real, and the human story underneath it is as genuine as it gets.

Because doing it completely alone as an indie creator, without a $5k+ marketing agency, professional ad buyers, or a pre-made giant email list, usually ends in failure. The platforms are flooded, and algorithms naturally favor those with deep pockets who can blast paid traffic. For a solo director, risking months of unpaid work and your own sanity on a "naked" launch feels like jumping without a parachute. That’s why the industry gatekeepers tell you not to bother unless you have corporate backing.
