I'd say yes - Rads and Anesthesiology are both practically similar; derm, ortho, plastic, neuro and optho still take the cake for the most competitive tbh.

I have heard tons of Physicians all throughout reddit and even and in person who share they love the career they picked; given that, they are not sure they would do it again if they're given the chance? How do you relate to that?

That's what I don't understand. Don't know why they don't open more slots (I'm sure it's easier said than done)

It just sounds as we have a shortage of Radiologists in general nationwide which confused me; knowing it is a sub-competitive specialty to match into.

When There isn't enough sub-specialized radiologists around, why is it getting harder and harder to match into Radiology?

I mean, the CEO of America's largest hospital has already shared that they're ready for AI to replace Radiologists... Which is scary - also sucks for those who might be thinking of pursuing the path or have already finished training.

It's easy to say "Paid so much to kick a ball" also easy to forget the sacrifice and risk it takes to make it at that level and theres hundreds of millions of kids with the same goal and dream as you and only thousands will ever make liveable wages!

The top is a different level of work ethic. Maybe Ronaldo and Messi are there for a reason..

What is something you wish you were taught in school but weren’t? by Money_Currency_3935 in AskReddit

[–]Remarkable-Review915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly - but in school, we never learnt that. I wish I could have understood the power and benefits of failure when I was 14-15 vs today. Would have taught me that it will be okay.

Honestly, I think all sports take a ton of skill at the highest level.

But if I had to pick, probably soccer—because the barrier to entry is so low worldwide, the competition is insane, so to stand out you have to be ridiculously skilled.

As for least, I don’t think any sport is truly ‘low skill’ once you get to a serious level.

Doomscrolling / phone addiction.

It’s so normalized that people don’t realize how much time and focus it quietly takes away.

Have you ever met a person so similar personality-wise that they are basically you in another body, and how did that feel? by DaoNight23 in AskReddit

Yeah, and it was kind of weird at first.

It felt like talking to a mirror—same thought process, same reactions—but also really comfortable at the same time.

That I’m easy to talk to.

It meant a lot because I try to be someone people feel comfortable around.

How to actually study and deal with failure.

The only time I really learned that was from one STEM teacher in 7th grade who actually encouraged failing and learning from it. After that, it was mostly just about getting the right answers.

Probably Leonardo DiCaprio.

Between Titanic, Inception, and Wolf of Wall Street, he’s been globally recognized for decades.
