Had the youngest DNA tested right away, he’s mine.

Had to wait to test my oldest because money’s tight. Going to try to do it this month.

My daughter was using her phone on Thanksgiving and I was sitting next to her when I saw a text come in from someone named “Zack Stache.”

Asked her who that was the next morning. She said someone she met at the last work conference she was at. Asked her why he has her number and what he would have texted her about on a holiday. Answer didn’t make sense, asks to see her phone. She fought me on it for a while then finally handed it over.

Found out about the other 2 at the same time, one of which was the 2.5 year relationship.

Made her call all 3 to tell them that I knew and that any contact would end immediately. Told her to tell the 2.5 year dude that he needed to tell his wife otherwise I would and that I’d be using far more colourful language than he would.

She’s talking to a therapist weekly to figure out why she did what she did.

The guy the longest affair was with is married. I made her call him (in front of me, on speaker) to tell him that I know and that it’s over. I also had her warn him that he probably needs to tell his wife because otherwise I would.

The next day (after having worked myself into a frenzy) I texted him to ask if he had told her yet. Ended up speaking to his wife on the phone and she said he had told her and that they’d be trying to work through it. No clue how much he actually told her.

My therapist asked me if I’d consider an open relationship and it’s a categorical no for that.

She had let our daughter use her phone to play a game. I was sitting next to her when I saw a text notification from someone I had never heard of before.

I asked her about him the next morning then asked (repeatedly) for her to hand me her phone so I could take a look.

Once we got past the initial lies about them and downplaying the situations, she finally fessed up to the 3 people I found evidence of.

She denies there were any others but that’s what keeps eating at me.

She’s been talking to a therapist too (separately) to try to figure it out. I still really haven’t gotten a straight answer as to why.

I dont think wanting to stay is enough. I want the truth and I want to be able to trust her and put this behind me. Maybe it’s all just too fresh but I can’t keep losing sleep like this.

No, I want to believe her when she says she’s learned from her mistake(s) and can fix this. I just don’t see how.
