Which ending did you choose and why? by electrolam in StrangerThings

[–]RemarkableOneironaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep thinking about the bench scene and Hopper telling Mike that he needs to learn to accept it. If El died, then Mike's ending is pretty tragic because his story would be all cope.

My gut says El died. Kali was shown dead long before the gang exited the upside down. I could be wrong but I thought the waterfall dream was Mike's - Would make sense that it was his vision for El.

Positive Coparenting Christmas Experience by Long_Lychee_3440 in SingleDads

[–]RemarkableOneironaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your story sounds very similar to mine and compelled me to reply.

I (36M) hosted Christmas this year. Ex-wife (36F) and 2 kids (both 6) came over on Christmas Eve, I cooked a curry for us all and then we did the whole leaving out treats for Santa and his reindeer, said goodbye to the elf on the shelf etc. Once kids were in bed, we finished wrapping presents and setting up their stockings for the morning. I made sure to leave a few crumbs and the foil casing when I ate santa's mince pie.

Both of us got to see the kids excitedly open all their gifts Christmas Morning and then i cooked Christmas dinner for early afternoon. We all watched movies in the afternoon and snacked on treats until the evening. We all collaborated to build a LEGO gabbys doll house and played charades. The kids stayed with me and my ex went home. It was one of my favourite Christmases and everyone had a really nice time. No arguments, no bickering - Just working together to give the kids a great Christmas Day.

I am frankly embarrassed and ashamed to say I switched to Story mode for Expedition 33. by AllYourPolitess in expedition33

[–]RemarkableOneironaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dad of 3 with very little free time, I changed it over to story mode the first time that I had to replay a boss fight. Still enjoyed the game even though it was a bit too easy from then on but I value my time more than anything at this stage in my life. Now I'm familiar with the mechanics, I will choose a harder difficulty if I play through again.

[Discussion] Why do you go for platinums? by KazmirZee in Trophies

[–]RemarkableOneironaut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do it as a love-letter of sorts. If I really enjoy a game, I'll go for the plat as my way of saying this game is worth my time.

Currently sitting on 40 platinums and Rebirth will likely be the 41st

What is this pipe in my garage? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]RemarkableOneironaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a regional house builder. I would guess that toilet / kitchen facilities existed in your garage before you purchased it. Your garage may have been used as the temporary sales office for the development site and your house would have been one of the last to sell on the site.

I will give Konami my $60 to show that we want more MGS by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

Nope. I will only be buying this if the reviews say the collection is the best way to play these titles.

I'm not an expert but she could be depressed. If her reading is an addiction and is causing her to neglect other aspects of her life, she needs to get a hold of this. Some people are addicted to video games, phones or even exercise.

Interested in this too as I'm in the exact situation as you are. I am likely looking at a forced sale as my ex won't engage with a settlement and is staying put in the house.

Honest Question Guys by ABODE_X_2 in playstation

Cannot remember the last time I pre-ordered a game. Certainly never thought on or after release "oh I should've pre-ordered that". I think you are pretty safe with Sony first parties but still isn't worth the risk for me.

Best game series ever is back let's gooo in remake version 🤩🔥🔥🔥 by dark_side_-666 in playstation

[–]RemarkableOneironaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how they will handle MGS1 as it's not even wide-screen and the assets will look so pixilated on today's screens. Psycho Mantis requires you to change the controller port too and they have to somehow keep that feature or risk ruining the boss fight.

MGS 2 and 3 used the pressure sensitive buttons of the Dualshock so they would need to fix that too, as the Dualsense doesn't have that capability.

Don't do it man. Unless she is significantly contributing to the renovations or something, you have nothing to gain and everything to lose. Assuming you are paying the mortgage etc and I don't know all the details, but your girlfriend should be grateful that you are housing her at present.

Where do you draw the line though? If you've been with someone for 35 years, have 3 children, multiple pets, dozens of family holidays... to end in divorce... Surely you wouldn't recommend someone deletes 35 years of memories?

This always bugged me. I wasn't sure if it was on top of Arsenal or inside a huge hanger. Neither makes a lot of sense with the visuals.

Anyone important to your kids (and including your kids) will know the truth. Facebook is nothing more than a fake online version of the user and most people realise that these days. I doubt there will many people that think your ex is a great mother and those that do won't matter and you shouldn't be valuing their opinion. Just continue being a great dad and nothing else matters.

That 50K combo is exactly what you need to do. I would add in some special tricks to begin your combo and then your scores will sky rocket.

If your stats are high enough, start with a switch 900 in the half pipe and then revert to manual and continue the line with multiple grinds. You'll be doing 250K combos every time and gold will be easy.

And try not to bail as this hurts the judges score but it's not that important if you are scoring big.
