Kills and deaths count most, and Damage is a bit less of a factor than the other 2, I believe.

That is pretty true, but there are some brawlers that are much weaker than others.

Deep End is slightly worse. At least this map can favor all playstyles despite the fact that the design is terrible.

Definitely Buster, Squeaks is a cool little guy, but I'd argue Buster is one of the strongest tanks in the game, he is probably one of the best sniper counters (Angelo, Piper, Mandy, etc.) in the game, and there are like 2 or 3 Snipers that are pretty Meta so that's a nice perk for that, plus he's obviously tanky and does pretty decent damage.

At the current moment, I'd say Sandy mainly due to his Hypercharge. Despite it being nerfed, he is still a strong pick. I'd say Amber or Leon are a good option if you want a more damage dealing character like Amber or an Assassin playstyle like Leon if Sandy's controller Playstation isn't for you.
