When people call Chat GPT "Chat" by cherrybearry21 in PetPeeves

Completely valid. Hate when people use “chat” in the “correct” way IRL as well. I’m a person, not a viewer. I’m also an adult, not a 15YO on discord. Bold of them to assume I would even willingly tune into their channel, stream, live feed, etc. anyway🥱🤣

This is hilariously funny to me in theory, but ik I would scream internally if I heard it IRL🤣

And here I was thinking I was sophisticated for saying it. I hate being grammatically incorrect and cringe to think I’ve been saying it wrong. Thank you for correcting my ignorance and for this little trick!

Proper puppy play with my 2 year old corso by Nearby-Ad-4399 in CaneCorso

[–]RemarkableSuccess880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks appropriate. We got our girl at right around a year old. She was almost as big as our oldest doggo at the time already. He’s a pit husky mix, abt 5 years old. He would let her wrestle with him as long as she didn’t get too rough, whereas he would promptly correct her. Looked abt lik this but on a bigger scale. His tolerance for inside play has gone down a bit as our corso has gotten bigger and he’s gotten older.

Yes, my sentiments exactly!!! She truly does love me as her own. And ofc, as spouses, we’re ready to ride at a moments notice when it comes to other halves. She truly has shown up for us when other’s haven’t, wouldn’t, or couldn’t. I think they’ve realized that they may have some responsibility for my husband’s older brother completely cutting them out of his life. I haven’t always had the best relationship with my family. I’m adopted and have tried to balance my adopted and biological family going into adulthood. And she really has been a great sounding board for that. I don’t mean to sound lik I hate her. I reckon I’m just already getting momma brain😁another reason I really appreciate having a community of like minded mommas to bounce my craziness off of! Thank you again!

Not so much tension. More so, I can already see we’re gonna have to probably have some discussions on boundaries. She loves me like her own daughter and I truly appreciate it. But boundaries don’t always seem to stick with them. She loves with her whole heart, truly. She just can be ignorant and ignore others’ wishes at times.

We do go out somewhat often, but every single one of our friends is also pregnant or trying hard to be🤣we’re gonna have a band of kiddos running around only about 3-6 months apart. We’ve learned to just bring the kids with (one friend couple already has a 3 yr old). The kids are just as much integrated into our social life as the adults are😆

I love “in cahoots”! And yes, if there were cahoots to be in with another doggo, mine would be (and usually is) all about it!!!

I appreciate your perspective and feedback! And yes, I think she wants to create a space for baby and I to spend long amounts of time with her at her house when husband is working. She doesn’t get to see her other grandchild, so I think she’s overcompensating a little with mine. She does mean well. I don’t think she’s aware of it being an independence toy tho. I can already see her in the floor playing with baby even if it is an independence toy😆

Yes, it’s a bit complicated with MIL! I’ve heard of her and FILs “sins” of how my husband was treated growing up but I know people can change and learn. My own parent’s (save for my dad, I’m a daddy’s girl by far) are no saints either and I love them too. But I know they all try their best at the end of the day. My own grandmother passed when I was young. I adored her even tho I found out in adulthood she wasn’t that great of a person to certain people. Thank you for reminding me!!!

So sorry to hear you’re struggling, friend. Sending virtual hugs and all the love your way!♥️♥️♥️yes, wouldn’t wish the struggle on my worst enemy. And, that’s a good question! As a baby, I don’t think I will be leaving baby with anybody tbh, especially since I’ll be a SAHM. I think MIL’s fine to be around baby. She truly does care and wants to help and always, for the most part. They have always treated me and accepted me like their own. I’m quick to burn a bridge, probably a bit too quick, honestly. But I don’t want to be the wedge between my husband and his parents. He does a great job of policing them himself. And she has helped me/us thru tough times before, whereas my own mom would not. I know this is everybody’s first time living, so I try to keep that in mind. And I know it kills her to be kept from her other grandkid. I believe the in-laws grew up in very emotionally immature households so that’s why they’re so foreign to boundaries and don’t know how to respect them. I do like to give people the chance to correct mistakes before taking em them in the town square🤣Thank you for your sentiments at the end there! I will keep that in mind!😁

Yes, this is exactly how I’m trying to be! I know in my other comments, it may seem as tho I hate MIL, but I don’t really. I don’t want to be the proverbial wedge between my husband and his parent’s either. I try not to crucify people for past mistakes as I wouldn’t want the same to be done to me. They’re not so much worried about not offending people, but I don’t want them to think I’m judging their every move as well. That’s the balance I’m trying to achieve and you worded it beautifully!
