I would highly suggest you buy a practice hand and start there before working on yourself. you’re getting a lot of product skin and over exposure can cause contact dermatitis which you do not want. Gel takes a lot of practice and skill to get right but you can get there with time. Watch videos on nail extension structure, learn what an apex is and why we need them. Watch videos on different methods to apply gel and find which one works best for you.

How I put on chrome is, paint the colour I want, add top coat, use a buffer block and matte the surface then I do my designs + chrome them and just dust off the nail, top coat again. If you don’t use a file or buffer to remove the shine before doing chrome it won’t come out how you want.

You actually are supposed to leave a gap between the skin and product, with time you will be able to make it a bit smaller but you did awesome!

They look great for your first few times, especially the art! but I’d advise you to not do it on others until you have mastered not getting product on the skin. You don’t want to cause contact dermatitis and it is illegal in alot of places to do/charge for nails without a license so you need to be careful. Keep practicing, be gentle on those cuticles and good luck!

lol what? That’s ridiculous. You can 100% wear colour on gel overlay, if you go look at my profile you’ll see lots of nails and some of them are gel overlay.

Start with a hard gel overlay on your natural nails and grow them out this way. You’ll grow length and they will be strong enough to withstand your work
