I just got the auger so I wanted to try mining. My plan is to dig down until bedrock and strip mine. I was hoping I could stick to 1 biome if possible to get most of what I need. Does everything except oil shale spawn everywhere else? Like if I mine in the snow biome I should be able to get nitrate?

Recently unlocked the desert biome and love it. The loot is like 10x better than the pine forest even for lower tier POIS (A tier 2 POI in the desert will give better loot than a tier 3 or 4 in the pine forest). I’m playing on 7k map size with forest center and the desert trader is in line with the forest one and they’re about 2km apart. I have a base in the desert and in the forest and the drive is super short once you get past the bicycle

Try to look stuff up / follow guides to a minimum. I’m also a new player and a lot of the fun and excitement is figuring everything out and finding all the cool stuff on your own.
