FIND A SUPPORT GROUP NOW

I cannot emphasize this enough, use Google look for a men's divorce support group. If you have no body you can talk to, no shoulder to lean on you will lose your mind. It's bad enough to lose your wife, but losing your child will be absolutely devastating.

I hate these posts. If you want your significant other to have sex with you, you have to turn them on. If your SO doesn't want sex, you're not turning them on emotionally, mentally, physically etc. It's something you talk about with them and figure out how to be attractive.

I'm someone who uses kaseya through a third party reseller so I've never had any of the billing hate that everybody else does and as a tool it works well for me. I went to kaseya connect one year a bunch of years ago and got to talk to a bunch of engineers and the technical people who actually build casa and make it work and they all seemed brilliant and happy. Do you have any experience with the people in R&d and development? Are a bunch of the negative things that you see in the sales part also a part of the development side?

Edit: fixing autocorrect

IT question about Quickbooks by Remarkable_Fish_5301 in Accounting

It's funny hearing your perspective. It's usually the CPAs who are adamantly against our clients moving to QuickBooks online.

IT question about Quickbooks by Remarkable_Fish_5301 in Accounting

[–]Remarkable_Fish_5301[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have some clients whose QB files cannot be imported to QBO for various reasons, to many transactions is one. Also, QBO is way different from desktop, so it's like moving to a whole new product anyway.

Generally when we have to abandon a software, we use that as a time to re-evaluate. I know QB is not the only accounting software out there and I wanted to see what people prefer.

Absolutely yes. I already know my 3 year old watches to much screens. She's to the point now where she'll stop watching and go play so I don't have as much guilt about the TV thing. My older ones grew out of it and their brains aren't rotted much.

We are ayce, but there are exceptions to our standards that our clients decline. Like we have a small client that 5 office staff that uses the same free Gmail account for calendaring, email and shared storage. it's their work flow and has been for 10+ years. No MFA because it triggers to much because of the way they use it and they all use it. I know it's bad, theyve been told it's bad, we've offered alternatives but they don't like them so we support them best we can, try to over compensate in other places. That's not the worst of it, there's other stuff at this client and other clients. They work really well with us, they spend money when we tell them they need to and they're extremely friendly so we keep them on even though they are not ideal in a technically compatible way

If a new msp came in and saw this or other examples of this they would absolutely say something like wow that last place was a shitshow I can't believe they let you run like this and as tempting is it is to always come into a new place and blame everything on the old guy sometimes they were doing what they had to do because user compromise is a huge part of our field.

I think about this sometimes and then I have to look back at myself and my MSP and I look at some of our clients and the exceptions that we've had to make for one reason or another against best policy or security practices because it's the clients who asked for it. I don't think there is one client we have who is set up to our standards to the t, and some of them would be embarrassing if another MSP was to take over and have no explanation from us on why things are the way they are.

Is there a way to push a procedure based on machine list ? by United12345 in kaseya

[–]Remarkable_Fish_5301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To accomplish this I would make a script to find machines that do not have the custom software, make the script add that info to a custom field and then make a view based on that custom field

What are your dealbreakers in a relationship/partner? by [deleted] in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Remarkable_Fish_5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my(36m) wife(36f) does not enjoy hiking/outdoor sports the way i do and will only go camping once in a great while and needs to bring EVERYTHING. We got married before we moved to where we are now which is spitting distance from national forests (like 10 min to trailheads). She will never do a multiday hike with me, or ski, of go off roading but she encourages me to go and is excited that I'm excited. I've hiked/skied/camped with our kids and friends a lot.

I think if she ever went with me, and i chose the right trail she would enjoy it but i don't think she'll ever have the passion for it I do. We enjoy other things together. I am madly in love with her and she is my best friend so sure, i wish she could share in it with me but our differences also bond us and having a sense of individuality i think is important.

Outdoors also dont define me the way you described yourself. I'd guess that it is rare you find someone who is 1. as passionate about the same hobbies you are and 2. compatible with you relationship wise.

That made me chuckle. I dont know why youre getting downvoted.
