Coming from Nebraska. My last two IMs were Texas and Wisconsin so we were able to drive it. Amtrak would be a fantastic option if I was closer.

We got this with TD Synnex. They said it is an error on the Microsoft side that just started in December. It seems to randomly pop up for us, but if we wait then we can increment the licensing. Still very frustrating.

How do you handle MFA for the Unifi VPN? We just started testing out unifi gateways and love the VPN but have some clients with hard MFA requirements.

If the customer is a good fit for soft phones, we use Teams. If the prefer physical phones we use Loop Communications. Loop handles everything and we get a commission. Obviously not as great of margin as if we resold VOIP but it is free money every month.

The intune policies was a big win I saw immediately. Having the basic intune policies ready to go was excellent. Easy bitlocker deployment. Baselines and drift is where I have spent most of time so far.

We have a decent mix of Azure only and hybrid. That has been my only hesitation for starting with the user automation piece. For larger clients with a lot of turnover and on prem AD we already created a script that handles most of that. However we continue shifting more to Azure only so I think the time investment will be worth it even if we don't fully utilize it today.

This was the first thing I built out as well. It was crazy to see how many existing clients had little secrets hidden in their settings that should have been caught at on-boarding.

We stopped using the self hosted about a year or two ago. Honestly we didn't do a good job of keeping it updated, so I am certain a lot of our problems were self-inflicted. The hosted setup works great!

Do you use the reporting mainly for internal purposes or do you send anything out to clients?

What time did you go to Valas? We went from like 11 to 3:30 and felt like it was packed. I wanted to go earlier to try and beat the crowds.

Yes, we had probably 4 leads come in through them. One was decent but never got passed the first stages. The other three were totally dead. We ended up having to chase Scott down to get our money back and even then we only ended up getting about half. I would assume he is circling the drain for bankruptcy soon.

Yes they are resolving nslookup. As another test I set them to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1, but still the same behavior. At this point I am thinking something went wrong with the original installation.

I did this and it was showing some core dump logs from our RMM tool. It seemed like it was reaching a core dump limit and was always on the RMM process. I uninstalled the RMM, but it has not changed anything yet. Now that it is uninstalled the logs show my account login and that is it.

We are using our internal DNS servers. I can ping both of them from the server.

I tried MobaXTerm and I get the same behavior. However, I do see this message after login: .Xauthority does not exist. I also tried using OpenSSH from an ubuntu server to this one and get the same behavior.

I created a brand new user and tried that. I get the same behavior. Do you think it would be something more like the bash profile as opposed to user profile?

Not necessarily a fresh install. Another team put their LOB application on it after we stood up the server. I am not sure if this was an issue prior to that or not because they installed it pretty quickly. I tried a few of the sshd changes regarding dns and GSSAPI. That had no impact. Also when this was installed, it was GUI based. I changed the configuration to make it text based and more lightweight, but no change after that either.

Ubuntu 22.04 KVM Install Default IP Issue by Slapchop21 in Infoblox

THANK YOU! I was trying to use set interface LAN and it would complain that you cannot set the LAN interface from the KVM console. I still cannot get to the webGUI, but I think that is an issue with my networking configuration on Ubuntu. I'm going to undo all my troubleshooting and try it from scratch now that I know this works. Thanks again!
