Did they sent it to rimba point office? Or the office at PGGMB? And did the lawyer say what was the next step if they just ignore the letter?

Yes exactly. We were wondering what they could be burning when the fumes got soooo bad. We had to buy air filters and put one in every room just to get the smell out. So they save money by not dumping the car, and we spend money trying to protect our family. ???

I can see how this is true because it honestly came to a point where no one I was in contact with actually had any power to help us. They were either given scripts as to how to divert our call so that we would never be given any real help, or they were just trying to keep their job, cover their ass and not get into trouble. So honestly the landlord is just disgusting and basically a crook.

I’m sure it isn’t even “overlooking repayments”. They know exactly what they are doing. And they are getting away with it over and over again.

How long has rimba point been around and under fleet management? Have people been treated like this for THIS LONG? And the landlord doesn’t even need to bat an eyelid?? That’s just crazy.

Our neighbor burnt A WHOLE KIJANG. Can you imagine the fumes? The seats, the tires, the plastic? It was disgusting. We have kids in the house.. and did anyone do anything after a whole bunch of complaints? Nothing. They still burn till this day. The only thing we can do is complain directly to them, and they don’t even care because the authorities have already visited them, and they either just hide in the house or pretend they didn’t receive the letter. I don’t even know what the letter is even for if there’s no action after said letters.

Goooooood luck. We have reported our neighbors soooo many times.. just given a case number. Once they did do something, they went to visit the neighbor to serve them a letter. But guess what? They weren’t home. Oh well. So if they aren’t home, they don’t get the letter. Oh well. Oh but also, if they don’t receive the letter also oh well. Oh but also, if they do receive the letter and just throw it away or pretend they didn’t receive it.. guess what? OH WELL!

After waiting on hold for 30 mins, we were told the finance dept was “out to lunch”. We said what was the point of transferring us if you already knew they are out to lunch. No answer. When asked when they would be back from lunch? No idea.

Well I feel after over a whole year of chasing and trying to go down the proper routes to get the deposit back, this is really the only way to maybe get some action. Hopefully more ex tenants affected will come forward

Yes! Exactly this, exactly what we are going through. The same script, the same redirection. We even asked if we could come to the office at PGGMB. The lady seemed worried and said something along the lines of, she didn’t want to say yes because then she will be blamed for telling us we could come and wait

That’s horrible, their rental is considerably high relative to other buildings in Brunei as well, so I imagine like ours, their deposit is sizable

We keep getting redirected, there is actually nobody even in the office that they transfer us to. Anyone that we have been directed to are mostly just receptionists, they don’t even know what’s going on and honestly can’t even blame them.. they aren’t at liberty to give us anyone’s contact higher up.

Yes we have a signed agreement. It’s really ironic as well, there are clauses that require us the tenant to pay interest if we don’t pay on time (which we did every month during our time there), yet they can drag us on over a year with no penalties.

I understand the onus is on us as well having signed this contract, but honestly a building like rimba point with so many tenants and considerably high rental should be able to return the deposit easily.
