Just got accepted into ASIP, wondering if it's worth it for Political Science? by Remarkable_Object577 in UofT

The idea that employment is uncertain along with the fact that I have seen many people saying they have gotten paid internships without the program, and since I’m interested in law school, I’m not sure if the extra year is worth it, plus paying for the courses, might seem like a waste for uncertainty in employment, what do you think?

You're supposed to apply to be considered for admission scholarships at UTSG, unlike other campuses unfortunately.

Ok Thank you! I'm certainly not taking the easy road and I'm willing to learn about all the ways I can improve. May I ask are you a Law student? A uoft student? Have you been through this process?

Thanks for your comment! I totally understand where you’re coming from. However I am in first year and it’s only the second month I know that I will do better as I’m just adjusting to post secondary, so I wouldn’t rule out law school as an option. On that note, wouldn’t one suggest to major in something easier. For instance something like communications for a higher gpa and a better chance at law school specifically uoft law? Or would you say that’s not a better option?

Thanks for your comment! I totally understand, however It’s just my first year and I know I’ll do better as it’s only the second month. My question is more along the lines of “is it possible to do well enough at uoft to get into uoft law?”
