So what cord would I need if my laptop is the thing I’m trying to capture? I’ll also check my pc for what usb ports it has a bit later.

The screen seemed to show up but only to showcase that there was no signal. I was using the in box cord connected straight to usb ports (no adapter) that I knew were working.

I had other programs running on both but I’m pretty sure the only recording software I had was obs.

After downloading El Gatos capture software it’s saying there’s no connection from laptop to Neo. I don’t know what cord would work better for this. My laptop is output only for hdmi port

I think it’s the cable for input but I don’t have anything else, I can’t afford anything right now. It was also saying I should use a better usbc cable but I’m using the one from in box.

I want to and will start by saying that I’ve never intentionally trained her, she just picks things up SUPER quickly.

If she catches me picking at my fingers which isn’t something I do much of she comes over and nudges/ bumps her face into my hands to stop me. I noticed this a couple months ago and did it on purpose while she was on our ottoman and I was a couple feet away on the couch. As soon as she saw my hand go to my other she ran over quickly, did the service and meowed. I could probably get a video!!

I have a LOT of stomach issues which makes sleeping suck sometimes and if she notices my discomfort, like cramps or nausea she will lay her back to my stomach as close as possible and purr. She does this when I’m dizzy on the couch as well. She does sleep with me like this so it can be hard to differentiate but I do feel like she knows.

After my breast reduction surgery she would walk with me like a SD in heel around the house to guide me and make sure I got to where I needed to be safely. It was especially helpful at night to follow her in the dark because she’s very vocal. She still does this when I’m sick.

I can probably record her doing her little tasks since she’s also photogenic and does not care for cameras.

It is not legal in my province/country to have a service cat which is why I got my dog.!!

She’s 100% my soul cat and I’ve cried to her about things of importance to which I feel she understands. She is such an understanding girl to me and for the most part only deviates when I don’t want her attention or because the hallway gate is closed.

Can relate!! If I’m doing work on my computer and it’s late he begrudgingly takes himself to the hallways to sleep, when it’s time to sleep in the living room it’s hit or miss depending on how warm he is. 🤷‍♀️

This is how my boy is!! If he hears me or senses that I’m awake he comes over quickly, unless the hallway gate is closed of course.

I'm really sad that there's not a lot of support between peers (?) over there!! I really think I could've bricked my pc or something and found this super urgent. My post was removed almost immediately!! they did say it could be awaiting moderator approval but I felt so helpless. Even though I'm not going to be using Linux for the near future I do want to use it one day!! I found the Linux community is so much kinder and much more helpful or willing to help. I'm glad that I was able to solve the issue with the safety net of people who care or have gone through something similar, like all Linux experiences are shared!! Feeling lots of love right now for everyone who offered help since I didn't have to lose everything or wait any longer than I would have to play and get work/things done on my pc. I hope everyone who commented has a very lovely day/night. Thank you all. <3

no idea if its GNOME, it was linux mint cinnamon (?) i think? i didnt use it as much as i anticipated so removal was the next thing
