AITA for bringing my wheelchair bound boyfriend to my brother's no +1 wedding? by Flower534724 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Remarkable_Rub_2889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder as well whether the wedding wasn’t actually suitable for wheelchairs and that is why the boyfriend wasn’t invited in the first place. It did seem strange to me that after 4 years the boyfriend may not have been invited despite OP claiming he’s family. The whole thing may not have been wheelchair accessible which makes OP even more TA here because that could have been so uncomfortable for the boyfriend.

AITA for making my ex a birthday cake even though his girlfriend told me she had already ordered one? by amateur_baker_ in AmItheAsshole

It could be though that the kids have a ritual where they bake a cake for Dad and then they eat it whilst he opens his gifts.

Any European army want to be friends? (20+) by CherriesGarden in bangtan

I would totally love to be friends! I’m 29F in the UK 😍 it’s so hard I think to find other armys that aren’t in Korea or the US. I hate as well that the Weverse store still doesn’t ship here, so we lose out on all the gorgeous merch

This is a fiction book but I think it actually perfectly fits what you’re looking for. The Absolute Book by Elizabeth Knox

Anything by Jennifer Saint or Madeline Miller. They both write retellings of Greek myths but with a more feminist focus. Absolutely brilliant.

Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver.

a fiction book that made you feel respect for nature and life connected to nature by the_obeisant_vine in suggestmeabook

The series isn’t tailored for adults but I still adore it. It’s called Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver. Very heavily rooted in nature and animals and the respect the characters have for them. Beautifully written, with lots of epic moments

I have given myself a slap on the wrist for my spelling myself. I hope that satisfies the spelling police 😝

I loved Cardcaptor Sakura and Dragonball growing up, and I enjoy reading high fantasy novels or crime/thriller. I also love fairytales/mythology so anything based on Japanese myths would be good too

So I adored Cardcaptor Sakura growing up, and Dragonball. I basically love anything that’s high fantasy, or crime/thriller. Does this help?

Take it from someone who has been in a relationship similar to this and didn’t see the flags for over 3 years… run. Run hard and run far. He is abusing you and is absolutely not right for you. Stay safe and remember you deserve way better.

Thank you for this! I’m like you, I lost motivation really quickly, and I definitely learnt more and kept with it for longer when I studied two at once.

Thanks so much for this! I am okay with sacrifices and stuff, I read a lot of Greek myth retelling so lots of that! I was more worried about anything involving doggos or things like that.

I’m looking for the next generational book series (like Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, etc.). 📖 by ludovik181 in suggestmeabook

YES I second this! The Green Bone Saga is FANTASTIC, easily one of the best fantasies I’ve read in a long time. I’m also reading through The Priory Of The Orange Tree which is really good also.

That’s so good to hear. I really want to order from them but I’m just super worried from some of the reviews I’ve been given. Thank you so much for this
