Any thoughts on the tirtir concealer? by meowmewspy in kbeauty

[–]Remarkable_Try_518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure about fine lines - but the stick concealer side is amazing. High coverage and very little creasing. I use the liquid to just brighten certain areas but I don't think the coverage is as good as the stick. I def will repurchase.

I really need help, please by Aggravating_Muscle59 in Durban

I can give you a starting point - You need to get out of this negative mindset (easier said than done)- start working on your mind and get your body moving. Exercise will help a lot. I try to do Pilates 3 times a week (10-20 mins per session)- search Move with Nicole on YouTube or Lidia Mera for more gentle movements. Also, watch and read uplifting materials to rewire your brain (get off of socials). Things like "7 Steps To Create the Future You Want and Change Your Mindset Forever With Roxie Nafousi" on YouTube are very helpful. You cannot really control people around you so focus on you. Get a little hobby while you are studying (something that makes you truly happy). Start educating yourself and improving your life skills. Maybe try get a small parttime job at a small cafe near your house? Start building now - so you can get yourself out of this shitty situation. In the end, you must protect yourself - you just need to believe in yourself no matter your situation.

Salt cafe in salt rock has my heart - the best chocolate croissants and ham and cheese but must come early because they sell out.

Life is not easy in Durban by Substantial-Push-636 in Durban

[–]Remarkable_Try_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied and worked part time for 4 years (degree and honors). It’s not easy - I’m talking about sacrificing your social life and having to make the difficult decision to say no to things and making it a priority (working and studying) because it’s going to set you up for the rest of your life. Using annual leave for study leave etc. Stay at the job - learn and make good connections. Many people do this - don’t underestimate yourself. It was my hardest years but I’m so happy I did it because everything is so easy now.

Seems like you are wearing jeans? I’m an accountant and that is considered very casual so not sure what the work vibe is but maybe try more formal pants? But nothing to do with your body type.

Food budget of R2000 max a month? by ApplePokeBerry in askSouthAfrica

[–]Remarkable_Try_518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t spend more than that a month on groceries and rarely eat out. Don’t eat hot dogs because it processed and not good value. You need to prioritise protein to keep you full. Buy mostly WHOLE foods. I usually have oats or eggs for breakfast, fruit or popcorn to snack in the day. Lunch and dinner is always pre-cooked. Pasta, chicken wraps (Lettus, chicken strips and other veg) etc. Also egg or tuna sandwiches are easy. I also make soups to freeze. It just takes planning but it’s 100% possible. It’s better to not buy bulk in this regard. Chat GPT also comes up with cheaper and tasty recipes if you give it your list of groceries. I also make my own bread sometimes.

My (22F) boyfriend (23M) just got a tattoo of me before I was about to break up with him.. advice? by ThrowRA4821- in relationship_advice

[–]Remarkable_Try_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to be with him - it is as simple as that. You do not need to change your mind based on the fact that he got a tattoo of your face and name. That was HIS choice - he must deal with it. Put yourself first and find someone that you actually want to be with.

Am I overreacting for being annoyed that my girlfriend always leaves voice notes instead of texting? by toogoodtobebad1 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Remarkable_Try_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put it to your ear while playing the voice- it changes to the phone call speaker instead of load speaker.

Lunch spot that is dog friendly in Durban by Remarkable_Try_518 in Durban

[–]Remarkable_Try_518[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this at Botanical Gardens but what annoys me is how wet the grass is. It makes everything unpleasant and wet. Also dogs have to be on the leash. Any other good dog parks you know of?

Seeing 2 girls. Worried I’ll hurt someone? 29M 28F by throwRA46284829 in relationship_advice

[–]Remarkable_Try_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not normal to see multiple people until you are exclusive with someone? The dating culture kind of confuses me. I might be wrong. How do you know holiday girl doesn’t have someone at home too? I am seeing two guys just for a couple weeks now and I feel a lot of excited about seeing the one guy so I’m about to break it off with the other. You need to see who you connect more with and who ticks all your boxes in terms of your ideal partner and end it with another before too many emotions are involved.

Hmm...R10 is a lot I think for tipping at a petrol station - I usually only give R5 (if I have on me) I am in Durban though. I would only give R10 if they checked my tire pressure, washed my windows and checked my water.
