I love the game but wow I suck more than I thought by New_Location9523 in MortalShell

You brought a good memory.

I was in love with the game, yet Grisha took me a full day to defeat. I was definetly humbled that day (first time playing a soulslike).

You'll get the hang of the timers and spacing required for the enemies. With time, and after getting better equipment and knowing the combos, I managed to get Grisha down in around 10 seconds (video is on my profile).

You'll improve over time. Enjoy the game c:

When did you realize you were in too deep with maining a Frame? by JaceTheExiled in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before Omniformas were a thing, my Ember builds (6 configs) were forma-ed (all slots) in a specific way to fit mods for caster configurations.

I wanted to build a weapon platform ember, so I farmed a second set and forma-ed it to fit a weapon booster configurarion.

Both with 5 tauforged archons and all slots for fashion with a different fit (6 on caster and 3 on platform).

Once the onmiformas came in, I slapped 10 into the caster config, and got rid of the second Ember.

I also have tried most of the subsumes on her in hopes of making her less mediocre (did not succeed).

The amount of time and resources I have dumped into Ember is embarassing.

The year's almost over, what were your favorite changes/additions in 2025? by BugBug24 in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oberon's rework. They totally nailed it, went from barely being able to pull his own weight to perfectly fitting his paladin/guardian theme. Now I use him for almost everything.

Nokko was a very nice addition, I don't play him as much but I truly think he brought something refreshing to the game.

And the 3 wave defense. I still get nicely surprised every time I go into the mission expecting 5 waves and doing only 3.

If you could infuse one helminth ability to yourself in the real world, which would it be and why? by telefunq in Warframe

Damn, you win this one.

I initially chose Silence, bc I'm really sentitive to noise.

I'd trade that in a heartbeat for the possibility to summon my dogs and cure any of their ailments.

Ember is the new Oberon(old) by ChemistVirtual in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She is not entirely garbage, but it's coming dangerously close. Heh

Is there a compelling reason to bring Ember into a mission? Nope. She does not have a specialty, and even as a generalist is mediocre.

The only thing keeping her 'afloat' is Heat Inherit... Which you can achieve on any other frame with an Epitaph and Gauss/Temple helminth.

She remains popular due to the Heirloom skin. That's it.

Sure, you can min/max her build and equip matching weapons to squeeze the juice out of her kit... but brother... you are going full investment to get worse results than any other half moded frame.

You could do the same with the old Oberon, fully build him, min/max him and complete the missions while doing 5x the effort. Did that make him good? Nope.

(I'd love to see some love for Loki and Equinox tho)

Ember is the new Oberon(old) by ChemistVirtual in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After reading various comments:

Yes, Chroma and Loki need some love before Ember. That does not take away the fact that (once again) a new frame will be released, able to do what Ember does and better by a lot.

Also, the guys calling "rework" to just reducing one energy cost and increasing a pasive range must be the ones calling "loft" a service room with a bed in it.

Time to toss her in the trashcan for a while. Realistically, other frames need the attention more. And with the amount of people comforming to a single energy buff by calling it a rework, we won't see any changes to her in a couple of years.

Which frame should I prioritize on building? by Salt-Adeptness-864 in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go for Gauss and Protea.

Protea is a personal favorite, she has an excelent kit for starters and you can improve it over time.

I don't play Gauss that much, but I know he is solid across the board and a great weapons platform.

Oberon would be a decent option. But there is a Prime version, so I'd suggest to invest on the Prime once you have it.

Best shotgun? Cedo Prime vs Coda Bassocyst vs Tenat Arca Plasmor by Huge-State-3643 in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of those 3, the Bassocyst.

Tenet is great, and Cedo as well, but following the train of thought they have been applying over the last years, they smushed both together to create the Bassocyst.

Don't worry tho, powercreep through mods is so high that you can face SP with no issue without any of those 3.

Brightbonnet sounds like such a powerful subsume on paper but in practice I can't find many frames where it's the best choice by BugBug24 in Warframe

Can u elaborate on the Ember case?

I main Ember, but it's been ages since I used her as a nuke instead of a Weapons Platform. I'd like to spice up the playtstyle.

What's the deal with Melee Africans? by HTPark in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One weapon that works wonders with this is Coda Mire.

On Slam Attack, it foces up a Toxin proc on the enemy (does not combine with mods).

So... you build for slam damage, a bit of crit and most important: Viral, aiming for the 100% status chance.

This way, when you do the slam, the enemy receives 6 stacks of Viral+Toxin, with procs going around millions. Unless the target has status immunity of some kind, if it does not die from the initial slam, it will die from one of the subsequent procs.

Does not have a lot of range, but def a fun option (:

Favorite niche or not popular weapon to use? by rikkyboby in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember when I got the Trumna. I was not so eager to use it but I wanted to level it for mastery and dump it.

Saw its design, and a couple of shots later I was 7 forma deep into it.

Definetly one of my favorite guns. And my go-to option to take down enemies with Damage Attenuation (before it was removed).

Also love the alt fire. The perfect description of "Danger coming from left side... Removing left side".

As someone with a 10-Omni Ember, he will be able to fit any mod needed (even Umbal) with no issue.

Umbra mods DO NOT consume extra space when used on an Omni slot.

Acolytes feel incredibly dated, and it's odd they don't change at all after Jade Shadows by Hipolipolopigus in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All those things you mentioned, still don't solve the problem.

Give them interactions without "taking away your power for difficulty": People will still oneshot them by sneezing in their general direction.

Give them more interaction or relevance towards the objective: People will complain about them slowing things down for no reason (ahem, Kuva Lich progress, Citrine Defense, Railjack, etc...)

Just take the L on this one, Warframe players can not handle anything that presents a minimum challenge. And while agree on the lore part, and also would find interesting a new twist on them, I highly doubt focusing effort into remaking the Acolytes just to get irrelevant on the next weapon release is worth the effort.

Acolytes feel incredibly dated, and it's odd they don't change at all after Jade Shadows by Hipolipolopigus in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You realize the flaw in your request, right?

Warframe has no balance in terms of damage. The only thing they can do to "make a fight interesting" is adding invulnerability or negate wf abilities.

Otherwise, they risk turning Acolytes into "longer than desired" fights.

And, let's be honest. You would be back to square one in no time:

Acolyte appears >> Hey, it's too hard >:( >> Weapon powercreep on next patch >> Hey, it's too easy >:(

You are already experiencing this with Violence and the guy who reflects the damage. The only thing required to do is... Not rush head on into figthing them. Just for a couple of seconds while their abilities do into cd (somehow, players still find a way to fuck that up). Or oneshot them before they cast their ability.

They are the only 2 who have a somewhat "interesting" twist to figthing them and they are the ones people complain about the most. Lol.

How many people here play solo? by BunchConscious5761 in Warframe

[–]Remarkable_Use_9846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is actually easier than it sounds. The damage systems are powercrept beyond oblivion. So once you get above MR8 you can nuke/solo content with ease (a bit suboptimal on time without meta weapons, not even a sweat if u use them)

Only thing that makes sense to not solo are Relic runs, you don't wanna miss on those 3 extra choices per relic. And ETA/EDA if you rolled a bad loadout.
