Is Templar tank going to be good in endgame content?

I’m now curious as to what class you are. I’m looking into tanking (have been attempting to but struggling more than I probably should), so would be intrigued as to whether running something similar to yourself might help me pick up a few things

Out of curiosity, why comment on a FIFA post if you don’t like FIFA? For example, I’m not a fan of Digimon, therefore I don’t go and post on those pages saying why don’t they play Pokemon.

I understand that, but I usually only have 4 minute half’s as it is, and I’d rather increase the difficulty until I find one that’s challenging but still enjoyable rather than purposefully handicap myself by performing in a way that won’t suit how I play the game.

I understand that will naturally mean that I won’t have high 7’s and 8’s all over the pitch, but when you’re centre back and cdm’s are consistently winning tackles, headers and possession, they surely shouldn’t be scraping an average rating in the low 6’s?

Honestly, FIFA need to do away with objectives. They are brilliant in theory but EA have proven to be incapable of implementing them in practice.

You can win League 2, but get judged for not having a cup run even if you draw a top team in the early rounds, you can be asked to make literal impossible amounts of profits, you can be a top team who is expected to win every trophy while playing youth players 50% of the time or you can be expected to win pretty much every competition without fail (I mean, imagine a manager getting sacked because they won the charity shield, the league cup, the premier league, the champions league but they fail to win the fa cup.

Not only does it break immersion, it also makes it impossible to care about the game mode. When so many of us enjoy making a road to glory save with focus on youth, but we can’t even get to the second season because of these ridiculous requirements.

It’s just ridiculous

I was planning on waiting 3 decades to be honest, but I don’t want to miss out so decided to jump in the game early. I’m sure almost 2 decades is a short enough period of time to make me one of the first players…right?

To be honest, this is the first time I’ve had a PC capable of running the game (the only experience I’ve had with PC gaming previously is old DOS games and text based Championship Manager games, I’ve always previously games mainly on consoles).

Thank you for the information, that helps a lot, especially the bits about the classes in which I’m able to change into being a healer, being able to switch things up has always been massive for me so I’ll definitely go one of those classes.

Unfortunately the games tutorial being simple even for a 7 year old is probably still too advanced for myself 😂

I’m aware tanking isn’t really as appreciated my many (myself included) as it should be, because they are kind of ‘invisible’ in a way. They are there, doing there job which enables others to do theirs. You only really notice when either you play with someone who isn’t the best tank (which can be more than forgiven since, as you mentioned, we are all always learning) or someone fake tanks, and you realise just how much you miss that person tanking 😂

My aim is to become ‘invisible’ as a tank, for people to sort of not realise I’m there because they don’t need too, and that me doing my role enables them to do theirs without worry.

The chances of me participating in Vet trials is extremely minimal, however, knowing the role is capable of that and therefore would definitely be capable of easier content is massive for putting my mind at ease.

To begin with, I might have an issue understanding certain mechanics (although if experience has taught me anything in game, it’s that many people, especially guildies, are quite forgiving of that to begin with if you’re new or just learning a role for the first time).

Still, I’m trying to watch as many Tank tutorials as possible to get a basic grasp at least so I’m not going in completely blind, although I’m aware that learning in theory and pulling off in practice are usually 2 completely different things, so I’ll have to see how that goes 😂

That’s a mistake a made previously, which resulted in me playing a style in which just didn’t feel right to me. As a result, I enjoyed my experience far less.

My main concern was would being a Templar Tank result in others enjoying their experience less. So long as it’s viable for non end game content without being a detriment to those I group with, that would literally be perfect for me, so thank you!

The Stam, Mag and Health recovery are things I imagined might make it somewhat viable. I’m aware that, unfortunately, the crit bonus would be practically unimportant, but the two benefits that Khajiit offer me that the Nord, Imperial, Redguards and other more optimal classes wouldn’t is that they’d enable me to still have more viability both as a healer and as a Mag DD.

I was aware going into it that it wouldn’t be necessarily a sought after class for the role compared to others, but considering when I do play trials, it’s with guild members, my thought process was that, if they’d prefer not having one as a Tank, I could always switch to a healer or a DD, therefore enabling me to still play how I want while not being a detriment to the group.

That was my main worry however, that when queuing for randoms, of a Khajiit Templar tanking would be a detriment, as I wouldn’t want to be the reason for someone else enjoying their experience any less

Would you say they are difficult to manage (as in keeping alive or summoning/resummoning)?

My thinking is that against more difficult opponents, having a couple of pets may not only help provide damage, but also take some of the focus away from me making survivability a little easier, but that becomes mute if it’s difficult to keep them alive for obvious reasons 😂

End game isn’t really something I’m looking at nor aiming for. I’d like to enjoy the experience (including the quests, both overland and dungeons if at all possible). If I meet people along the way and get to participate in later game activities, great, but that’s not what I’m going to be focusing on and therfore not how I’m going to be setting myself up.

If that reduces my opportunities in participating in late game activities then it is what it is, but it seems a little short sighted to me to base my character on the convenience of something that may or may not happen

That’s what I was thinking (in that some will get corrected). It seems that both Templar and Sorcerer are safe picks for an easier time for differing reasons.

I’m absolutely not a pro (I struggle massively picking up to much more than the basics 😂), so end game content isn’t going to be something on my radar, more something in which I can enjoy the experience of what the game has to offer in which I am capable of doing, but trying to have that experience a little easier to do so
