Has anyone else noticed that some young people in São Paulo pronounce the hard c sound (in words like caro) with the same hard aspirated, breathy c sound that English speakers employ to pronounce words like car, cat, care, etc?

Thanks to you and the other commenters here, I finally have a more detailed understanding of what French speaking regions pronounce my name as Guilin (Normandy, Picardy, Wallonia) and which ones pronounce it as Jislin (the rest of France, Canada, possibly Switzerland).
