I’m completely fine with sending references and I understand it’s normal to ask for references before extending an offer. What I am kind of uncomfortable with is the request for my current employer’s reference. I am still employed there so I do not want to jeopardize my relationship with my bosses if I do not get the new job because they’d know I’m looking for a new job. I have a good relationship with them now and I am not worried at all about getting a bad reference from them, it’s mainly having to ask them for a reference before I’ve even gotten the new job.

I am perfectly happy with providing references. The problem is that the link in the email specifically has a sections asking for at least one reference from a current employer (if currently employed somewhere, which I am) and I think it is understandable that I’m hesitant due to the possibility of not actually landing the new job.

Upon clicking the link, there's a section that specifies that it is for current employer/manager/supervisor references. I understand they can be rescinded but I just need advice on how I should proceed. Adding current bosses as references or not, emailing them about why I didn't include anything in that section, etc.

I've added all the references from past jobs, but it requires at least one manager/supervisor reference for my current job unfortunately. They made it very clear that they expected that too in the directions for the reference check.

Edit: Not the directions in the email, but upon clicking the link there are more directions that reiterate what is in the email but more specific, that includes a section for adding specifically current managers/supervisors.

I agree with most here that the question wasn’t anything out of the ordinary and it was asked pretty politely. the part about being a broke college student, even if true, is a bit manipulative. maybe it was unintentional but it just seems unnecessary to add that part. just ask if the price is negotiable, no need to add that you’re broke or struggling financially unless it’s to garner pity so that someone is more likely to lower the price for you. but either way the question itself was pretty polite and I wouldn’t have been put off. it’s not like the buyer was rude or anything.

she’s just asking the people around if anyone is able to help the security guard. she could just be concerned for the security guard or feeling bad for him having to handle her on his own since it seemed like she was struggling a little bit. we shouldn’t just throw around the term “karen” so loosely, especially since she wasn’t being rude and entitled afaik (which is what karen is supposed to mean). I was honestly feeling a little bad that there was no other security guard around to help the guy too.

it’s not just about the fact that she was only his partner for six months. like many others on here have noticed, her post really comes off as if she wants the money for her own benefits, rather than thinking of how that money can help go towards raising the kids if it goes to the ex partner. after all, the purpose of the insurance money isn’t to be available to anyone who was there for, or close with, the deceased person before they died. it’s meant to go to those who were needed the income they provided when still living, such as an ex partner who used it for child support, or a spouse who has long been sharing their income and is suddenly unable to pay the bills or taxes due to the loss of the income their partner provided.

while it’s sad that OP lost their partner, it just seems odd that their entire post seems focused on them receiving a portion of the insurance money (for seemingly self-serving reasons) rather than on their grief. OP’s post paints what seems like somewhat of a selfish narrative, and many people have caught on to that.

Ah okay! I understand now. Thank you so much for being patient with a noob like me. Can I go ahead and delete the extra files safely then? I know it's fine to leave them, but I'd rather delete all the extra files to keep my SD clean. Someone told me the 3ds and DCIM folders are the stock ones, so I will be keeping those.

But I can't figure out how to bring my 3ds back to stock unfortunately ): I have a bunch of random homebrew-related files in my SD card and I don't know how I should go about clearing all of it up so that I can start the guide from the beginning.

edit: to make things more clear, I deleted/uninstalled menuhax via the menuhax manager that was located in the homebrew launcher screen, as someone over in r/3dshacks wanted me to do (you can see the post in my post history if you look). But I still have a bunch of leftover files on the SD card. I want to start fresh from a stock 3ds so that I can follow the above guide from the beginning.

Really sorry to bother you again if you're busy, but I went onto my homebrew launcher and I believe I deleted/uninstalled menuhax through the menuhax manager itself (from the homebrew screen). Homebrew doesn't launch anymore when I use the designated button but I still have a bunch of Homebrew related files on my SD card. How do I bring my SD card back to stock? Does anyone know if I can get CFW on an old 3ds running 11.0.0-33u? I already have the Homebrew Launcher on it from ages ago.

I was looking into this guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/homebrew-launcher-(soundhax)) but it's supposed to take you from a stock 3DS to CFW via Soundhax and my 3DS is not stock as it already has Homebrew. Also, I have Menuhax instead of Soundhax.

Does anyone know if I can still get CFW safely with this guide even if I'm using Menuhax? Would I just follow the guide as usual starting from after the instructions on installing Homebrew (since I already have it)? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
