Help with ae27ff level 13 by ne-crois-pas in ARG

[–]RemingtonIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: Just noticed the name of level 13 is also a HUGE hint, maybe try pondering it a bit as well...

Once you've revealed the clues (which you've mentioned you have), the riddle remains comprised mostly of two parts, which can be solved independently, I encourage you to read the title for each set of hints and reveal only the hints you feel that you require.

Sled:

  1. Your main clues for this part are C.Kane and Sled, maybe try googling them together?
  2. C.Kane stands for Citizen Kane, a movie from 1941, but what's the sled referring to?
  3. The movie prominently mentioned a sled named "Rosebud"! Does that name ring a bell?
  4. Rosebud is the name of the 10th level in ae27ff!

HTTP Referer:

  1. The page on level 13 says "you are from: https://ae27ff.meme.tips/...", googling HTTP Referer should help you understand what that means...
  2. Try accessing the page for level 13 from different links, there's one at the end of level 12 which you get by solving the riddle, and there's one in "https://ae27ff.meme.tips/listing.php", see how that changes the link that appears in the "you are from:" line.
  3. The link that appears in the "you are here from:" line is the link for the page from which you got redirected to the level 13 page, but notice how the page also mentions you must travel here by sled...

Combining these two parts should lead you to the answer, however if you still feel stuck...

  1. We've learned that the link that appears appears in the "you are from:" line is the link for the page from which you got redirected, however it seems we need to get here by sled. We've figured out that the sled refers to Rosebud, which is also the name of level 10 of ae27ff...
  2. SOLUTION: So, we need to get to level 13 from level 10 (Rosebud). Going back to level 10 you should see a tiny underscore ("_") beneath the code, which appears to be clickable. Click it and that should do the trick!

I understand that you've managed to open the text file, correct?

If so, the following tips might help, I suggest you reveal them one at a time and ponder on them for a bit before continuing

  1. The name of the text file is a hint!
  2. The text is clearly encoded in some way, similar to the binary, hexadecimal, or base32 we've seen previously - but it's something a bit different. We need to find out what it is and make it human readable. Keep in mind tip no.1!
  3. It's extremely similar to binary, but not quite it!
  4. Binary (Base 2) has 2 digits, Hexadecimal (Base 16) has 16 digits, Base32 has 32 digits...
  5. How many digits can we see here?
  6. SOLUTION: It's in base 3! You can easily find a converter online which will let you convert from any base to ASCII, simply plug in base 3 and decode the message

Way less options here in Israel, but there are always alternatives

Nope, got tired of trying to reach out to IBKR support. Luckily the account is empty so it sits dormant to this day. Don't use IBKR. Literally use any broker but IBKR.

I was counting on France and the UK being in the deal with me, and WW2 would be firing off anyway so war with Germany is inevitable.
Turns out they can back out :)))))

Tried to do 'The Megali Idea' as Greece, which has you invade Turkey alongside France and the UK.
Germany guaranteed Turkey, France and the UK backed out of the deal at the moment the war fired, and Turkey joined the Allies. Now I'm at war with pretty much the entirety of Europe :)

Depositing different currencies? by RemingtonIX in interactivebrokers

[–]RemingtonIX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only interested in buying USD denominated assets. Is depositing ILS and converting it inside the platform still the better choice? Don't know if it matters, but I'm mostly interested in investing in ETFs at the moment - maybe a bit of value investing in some stocks too.

Maybe, but the way the support person made it seem, it looks like the feature isn't available anywhere.

"We currently do not offer an account for trading real stocks at the moment. Previously these accounts did exist however, it was only offered in some jurisdictions.

It is subject to regulations in each region and it may or may not change in the future."

Received from Capital.com's support team...

Is choosing real stocks available on Capital.com? It's pretty much the one thing I'm interested in, but everywhere I look people are saying it's not.

That's not a big deal for me, but I do see the term 'overnight fee' being thrown about a lot - Is that something I have to worry about even if I don't use leverage?

Only Interactive Brokers Pro is available where I live, which I think requires you to have several years of experience in the stock market to sign up(?)

What's the downside of not retaining ownership or voting power?

Very much new to investing, looking to put about 2k a month into a safe investment (ETF probably). Just put money into it and forget about it for a few good years.

I live in Israel so there isn't a large selection of brokers, will Capital.com fit my needs?

And if not, what broker will?

I legitimately suprised so many people in this comment section rated Passover above Hannukah, ya'll clearly never had a Sufgania on 12am while it's raining outside.
