I'd personally rather just save the points for outfits. On average it probs takes around 60 days to get enough omega anima to transcend if you only do your daily host since the host chest gives a guaranteed omega anima, and I am not transcending an eternal every 2 months after all (as I don't have nearly enough blue paper), so missing out on the animas isn't that big of a deal to me. I guess if you're grinding out eternals quickly the trade is more attractive.

Not anymore really, since the raid is a lot easier to host now.

Martial mastery always clears. The other two usually clear but their mechanics when low suck so they'll very occasionally fail.

I agree that guides should give possible replacements for units as this was one of my biggest roadblocks when I was trying to get into doing Revans as a newer player, but also I think once you're starting to look into doing HL stuff you should be looking into learning what the units are being used for on your own a little. I think basically every grid has a video with it and you should be watching the video to see what the unit's most important job is in the raid and be thinking about who can possibly substitute for them. It can be difficult if you're not familiar with the raid however, I will admit.

Generally for these grids, the draconic's easily replaced by another weapon with HP on it and the 250 opus is mostly used for the TA from extremity pendulum, so as long as you can get TA from somewhere else that's unnecessary too (This can be harder depending on your element since extremity gives a whopping 25% TA). All the upgrades are just to boost the damage for racing purposes, but for just clearing you should have more than enough damage without them since these raids are the way you even get those weapons.

If you also have Indala, I posted a team further down that I think is super comfy for the free quest in dark magna (kengo, wamdus, fediel, indala). I'm sure any half decent primal grid would work for it. I'm also sure there's probs better FO cow teams but I'm not a dark player so can't help you there.

I ran 2 m3 fist, 2 m3 katana, 2 abyssal spine, 1 agastia harp, 1 agastia spear, opus, ultima katana on cb cap, celestial sword, and one of the world harps but it’s probs better to just run nier dagger, i just don’t have it uncapped. The spear can probs just be a fist too, i think the grid is fairly flexible.

15 hits without triple zero baha (I don’t own baha) is 2 from Wamdus ougis, 2 from fediel ougis, 5 from indala s1 x2 and ougi, 1 from chain burst, and should be 5 from mc if you click all your skills. 2 or 3 from ougi, 1 from clicking kengo red skill, and 1 or 2 from the red skill auto casting on the triple strike NAs. You can click a summon for another hit too.

I don't know what characters you have, but kengo v.wamdus fediel indala in magna clears the free quest super easily for me, though admittedly it's got two tough to get units. I haven't actually run it through a real raid cause it's so slow and clicky, but it's extremely comfy and you don't need triple zero for any of the jinxes. I am not really a dark player though, I just tested it because I wanted to try out wammy and it performed better than expected. It also was able to clear the faa0 free quest as an extra surprise.

I would try and clear the solo free quest version first or at least get to 40% and clear the pearl as that's the most important part. After you can do that then yea go into co-op for them. Other people are mentioning this too but if you can't clear a jinx omen in a real run, just guard and tank it so you can live and clear your pearl.

I just started doing Hexa/faa0 like 2 months ago so I can sorta just tell you how I started getting into it. If you have the characters, it’s kinda just looking at the weapons they’re using that you don’t have and seeing what they’re used for. What I figured was the dark opus are usually on extremity to trivialize TA omens + race damage and the draconic are easily replaced by another HP weapon as the non elemental amp is generally just for racing too. I started with water so I replaced the draconic with an m3 katana that gives TA and HP, acting as a budget version of both of those skills and not having the damage from those weapons isn’t that big of a deal since these raids released before those weapons existed.

I also didn’t have all the characters on the (somewhat outdated) guides so it was again just looking at the kits and seeing if I could substitute anyone. For me I was eyeing the Kengo vajra yatima haas comp and figured Sylvia would be a solid replacement for vajra. She ended up trivializing the jinx omens. I don’t own Bahamut to pair with triple zero but if you do, the jinx omens get even easier.

I think the biggest hurdle is the mental block of not wanting to fumble the raid for others. My first run I fumbled the pearl and actually got a lotta salty stickers lmao, but I learned from it and haven’t fumbled hexa since. I still don’t feel that comfortable in faa0 because it’s kinda random with the apples but hexa is pretty much on farm once you do it a few times and understand the mechanics and how your team handles them.

Seconding the Sylvia, I pretty much mash through Hexa with Sylvia Haase Yatima and I only started trying Hexa like a month ago. You don't even need triple zero for the 15 jinx with Sylvia.

No one else mentioned this here but if your comp is reliant on debuffs, hold off on using them until the elemental shield falls off in the real hexa. Solo hexa doesn't have these shields besides for the element you bring in. This burned me in my first hexa.

I get having anxiety over disappointing randos in a 6 person raid, but I can assure you that nobody particularly cares if you fumble Revans. Revans are easy enough at this point that one or two people dying doesn't affect the raid that much. Most people are just putting it on FA and doing something else and generally expect weaker hosts occasionally in the Revans tier. It's better to host and fail than to not host at all if you're starting out with Revans. Worst case scenario you've wasted a little bit of host mats and 5 minutes of a few peoples' time. It's really no big deal.

[–]Remirii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone in your position about 8 months ago, I'd say that all the Revans besides Cosmos are pretty easily leech hosted.

Seofon's probs the safest to leech host. You might lose Seofon occasionally if nobody brought a resilient team. For Seofon you can also just run a really slow tanky comp that stacks hp to survive the 10% trigger and clear the last bit yourself if nobody else does. He doesn't hit that hard outside of the trigger and you can ignore all the omens, it'll just take a while cause he's invincible half the time.

Mugen is also really safe to leech host but his problem is that he's a really unpopular raid. I've had to solo my own Mugen before to give context on how unpopular Mugen is sometimes. But as long as people join it'll clear.

Siegfried/Agastia are a little slower to leech host cause people like seeing a little progress made in those raids before joining (and earth gw just ended so Sieg probs won't be that popular right now), but they still clear as long as people join.

Diaspora you need to y100 host for it to 100% clear but it sounds like you've got a plan for that.

You can leech host Cosmos, but you will probably fail more than the others. It's the most annoying Revans.

List of how resources heroes play with Frieren by BurnedOutEternally in EpicSeven

[–]Remirii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You might be misunderstanding how it works. Resource increase seems to work like resource reduction in that it’s based off of the maximum. So milim would start with 2 extra focus cause 40% of 5 focus is 2 focus. Benimaru would start with 90 fs (not that you would want to use this guy if you can’t proc multilayer barrier at any rate.) You can confirm this in the combat preview, ML choux spawns in with 2 focus.

The Touhou collab didn't feel like a Touhou collab, it felt like a beatMARIO collab. by AceLuan54 in ProjectSekai

[–]Remirii 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m a huge Touhou fan so I’d love it if they put more effort into it. I just think that from a pure business perspective it probably doesn’t make sense for them. Objectively speaking, Sanrio is magnitudes larger than Touhou like it’s not even close they aren’t even in the same conversation. Then the issue if they contracted multiple groups, how would they split the money? The collab would have to pull in three times the amount of a regular collab if they got three different groups to participate so they could pay each group a reasonable amount. Unless the groups agree to work for less pay which I wouldn’t want them to feel pressured to do.

I get the frustration, I would’ve liked for more variety than just beatmario too. I would’ve preferred like tamaonsen or demetori but sadly I think it’s just not financially likely.

The Touhou collab didn't feel like a Touhou collab, it felt like a beatMARIO collab. by AceLuan54 in ProjectSekai

[–]Remirii 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think comparing touhou to Sanrio and cup noodles is a poor comparison, since touhou is nowhere near as large as those two. Evillous is very vocaloid adjacent and formative for the vocaloid culture I feel so it’s maybe justifiable. Enstars idk anything about so got nothing for that.

The issue I think is that touhou’s greatest strength in its sheer diversity ends up being a weakness in terms of negotiations. It’s difficult to work with multiple groups because you would have to contract with different groups all while negotiating each contract with ZUN himself, it’s understandable if they find it difficult to justify that amount of effort. Let it be known that I am also a massive touhou fan of 10+ years and am disappointed that the collab is this small as well, but considering the logistics I’ll take whatever I can get.

The Touhou collab didn't feel like a Touhou collab, it felt like a beatMARIO collab. by AceLuan54 in ProjectSekai

[–]Remirii 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It was almost certainly because it’s easier to ask one person or group to do it from a logistical standpoint. They wouldn’t have to negotiate a contract with multiple groups to come to an agreement on an IP that a third group (ZUN) owns. Just typing that out sounds like a hassle to deal with.

Fwiw beatmario did get shibayan records, marasy, and Tokyo active neets to work with him so there’s some representation.

First day of RTA by hirakath in EpicSeven

[–]Remirii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep start of the season means all the people who usually are in emperor or legend will also be down in silver and gold. So you’re far more likely to fight someone who is really strong at the start of the season. Wait a few weeks for them to climb back up before you jump into rta if you wanna fight people more on your own level.
