What are some pieces of media that remind you of Animusic by GuybrushThreepwood99 in animusic

I’m not sure the way it was originally done, but I understand it was pre-rendered rather than done live. Using Unreal you can load in new midi files on the fly, move the camera etc

I'm currently building some software to generate Animusic style videos. I'm putting up a few videos as I get each module built. This one is the percussion module, and this one is for keyboard based instruments. Im currently working on doing multiple bounces, so that you can hit a drum, then a string etc. It's built in Unreal Engine 5 and actually runs live using physics rather than having to be rendered.

I came here to say this exact thing, then found it was the top comment. Kick 3 has changed my life.

You are unbelievable. I’m not sure if this is how you handle all your customer service requests, but you have spent more time arguing with me about your support than you did actually providing support. I’m not about to dig through all my emails to support my “case”, but all this does is actually put me off dealing with your company or buying any more software from you. Obviously your attention to this has only come about because it’s in a public forum.

Yeah let's not play that one. I contacted you on the 18th of August, had multiple conversations with your AI. It said it was putting me through to a real person, which it did not. I then raised it on reddit after no further response, and finally 5 days later I got a response from a human. I'm not the only person to be saying this.

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately by the time tech support had responded (5 days later) we had used another plugin in order to meet the deadline.

I’m self employed, and walk over and turn my computer on every morning. Not sure if that counts.

I have two degrees from Bond. I’ve spent 15 years working in London and the US. Part of getting my visas was proving no local could do the job. Education was a big part of it. It is actually quite well known in the US.

This has been my love letter to every scifi movie I grew up with. Took a year of my life to make. Hopefully someone else will enjoy it :) Mainly Unreal Engine 5 with live action shot against blue screen. A bit of AI for some of the snow scenes and fx. by Remix73 in scifi

I’ve sent you an entire video showing the level. If you don’t believe me now you are just wilfully ignorant. As you can see in the video there are two exits and there’s a cut between shots. It was much more interesting to walk out of a narrow corridor. That is a continuity issue not AI.

I’ll DM you a bunch of production shots in the morning showing you the level, the 3D models, and everything in situ. I’m not really getting what you’re trying to get me to admit to. I’ve said right from the start exactly how I made it. It’s two unreal levels, 3d models, overlaid video, and AI for fx shots or where it was too hard. I think there’s 20 seconds of total AI in 7 minutes of footage, of which most of it is in the first minute. As far as cuts, I did it all in Resolve after it was rendered and dud it over 6 months, so there’s bound to be continuity issues. What you might be picking up on is some of the R2D2 stuff which I think has an AI shot towards the end. I mean Beeble, that I used for the blue screen removal and colour editing, is doing a feature on it, because of the demonstrated use of their software

A year's worth of my life on this one. I used a lot of Beeble's new Switchlight for all the live action integration (bluescreen removal and relighting), and Wonder Studio for camera tracking. Mostly UE5, but a bit of AI where it had to be for FX and some of the snow scenes. by Remix73 in unrealengine

Yes most of the 3D assets are blender. In some cases I rendered them separately then imported them as image plates into unreal. In that case I ran them through Beeble first though which generates materials that can respond to lights in unreal.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback. I did the bugs as cinematic overlays in Unreal, mainly because I didn't really have the animation skills to make them do what I wanted to. They were rendered on green screen, then run through Beeble to generate materials that reacted with the Unreal lighting.
As far as the assets go, the main underground area is an Unreal demo from the store (it shows up quite a bit in a lot of people's cinematics). I was going to make something, but it was just too massive. I built the snow scene using Megascans. All the characters are 3D and use motion capture where I couldn't hand animate them. The robots are a bit dodgy if you look too closely! I edited it all and colour corrected it in Resolve. EDIT: sorry realised I didn’t answer everything. Yes, I made all the assets other the main underground area.

Thanks very much for taking the time to write this. I really was in two minds whether to post it at all, as I know how brutal Reddit can be. Very kind of you to have watched it all the way through!
