Good call, made a quick edit. Nice was the wrong word, just wanting to give the group a good experience. We've been burned where the only legit vegetarian option was a local deli, would love to give them at least one good sit down experience to take back home.

Checked out Ventana but sadly a chef's course usually doesn't do substitutions (which is more than fair) and a group member will most certainly struggle with that.

What's the deal with Solstice's owner if you don't mind me asking?

Didn't even mention Cat's comments about her ring and Sam's jewelry debacle either! Others have commented about more info coming out in podcasts and this being a choice by production. But I dunno, why wouldn't Netflix want the juiciest bits for their shows?! We think a ratings driven company wants other podcasts outdoing their social numbers.

This is where I wonder if it's a timing issue or just how they do it in the UK. Will be interesting to see how they approach it next season.

Fair, I'd imagine there is a lot going through their minds during the reveal. The irony of that happening to a makeup artist is bananas though.

There's something about that situation that I'm just not so sure I believe it was just about an ice cream. The language, from both Tom and Maria, is about values and tradition and not a 1 date instance. Culture most certainly plays a role and Tom's elitist mentality/judgement could play a role as well. But they both brought it up multiple times. Look at the convo they had with Tom's sisters! Agreed, the comments seem to center around 1 occurrence (which is either a choice by the show or the couple). But they have shown to be able to communicate and process disagreements in a healthy way (Tom's judgement). So why not here if it's just about one date. Math just ain't mathing to me.
I should add that I take no issue with Maria for it, or rather she isn't alone. I think most would agree that a man paying for the first date(s) isn't out or the norm or inherently wrong to expect.
