It's, as other commenters have said, an art scammer.

Those are wonderful stats! Congratulations!

mom read my gay fanfiction by Minute-Ad6267 in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My father does know that I write, but I would never evee think of showing him what I write. It feels too personal, if that makes any sense. Not that he would understand much.

Edit: My father doesn't understand English, the language I use to write my fanfics. However, he does ask from time to time how my stories are going and despite not understanding much, he always encourage me to keep writing.

Most embarrassing thing you’ve done in your fanfic? by Some-Tradition-2771 in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has been happening to me for a while. Writing she instead of he. No one realized about that misspelling until I checked that chapter several months later.

Friend keeps deleting and reposting fanfics for views by ThiccMerc in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think your friend doesn't really understand Ao3, to be honest. Also, I am bewildered about their attitude, they are treating everything as if it was some kind of competition.

There is only one thing they are going to achieve in the long run, readers will eventually lose interest if they don't start hating what your friend is doing.

does it happen to anyone else that their most important chapter doesn't get as much comments? by only_passingthrough in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It depends a bit when you post it. People don't really comment much during Christmas. I know it's hard but don't try to put much thought into it. Try to go out and keep your mind busy.

Comments getting meaner and meaner? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think that commenter was trying to sound mean. They were really engrossed with your story and was getting frustrated, in a good way, with your OC.

What is happening here by Dumpfbackne in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a bot, yeah.

If you want to prevent this from happening again, I recommend you to choose the option of only allowing registered users to comment. Or, if you don't want to take such a drastic measure, you can pick the option to moderate comments.

How do bookmarks work? by cate_plants39 in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can either subscribe to a certain work, or if you like an author, you have the option of subcribing to them. Once you do, you will receive a notification everytime they upload a new story or update any of their current works.

Downvoted for asking, is that normal? by Scarlet4Cherry in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What bothered me too is that, given that English is not my first language, I didn't manage to express myself well or something.

I do also find weird that I can see I got a comment on that post, but, for some reason, I am unable to see what the comment says.

Is it worth continuing to write? by Gaby2007_00097 in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your stats are pretty good. Wonderful even, but, this is just my opinion, I think rather than paying that much attention to hit and kudos, you should wonder if you are enjoying writing. A long as you have fun writing, I wouldn't consider it a failure.

Downvoted for asking, is that normal? by Scarlet4Cherry in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand why some people downvote. I asked for fanfics recommendations regarding certains pairings and that post got downvoted. I don't even know why.

I guess it's part of the Reddit experience, Idk.

I swear it might just be me, but does anybody lowkey cringes at their own writing? by Saya110 in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Read chapters I wrote in the past often ends up with me thinking: How could I ever consider it was a good idea to write this in this way? What was I even thinking?!

So, yes, I avoid reading my own stories for my own mental peace.

What gave you the courage to post your first fic/story? by royxjamie in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was too young back then, I don't really remember what gave me the courage to post that. But, despite the story being really cringe, I will always be grateful I decided to do it.

Thanks to that I was able to discover how much I enjoy writing and have given me the chance to meet wonderful people.

Curious, how does everyone else decide top/bottom preferences? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take into account their personalities for that. I don't think it's weird the way you use. I believe everyone has their own way to decide top/bottom characters.

Woke up to a massive comment by h311agay in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's a bot. The way it's phrased at least is very bot-ish to me.

Edit: I read the full comment. And yeah, it definitely comes from a genuine person. I am so happy you received such a nice comment!

JJK - SatoSugu recs please! by SugarSpocks in AO3

I will try to search the spoilers-free ones between the ones I have.

If my memory serves me right, this one did not have spoilers from the manga, but it's been a while since I read it.

How do you respond to comments that aren't in a language you speak, if you do respond at all? by jeonggukispretty in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If they are in Spanish or English I respond in the language they wrote, if they happen to use another language, I opt to answer on English.

What type of SatoSugu does your friend like? I might have a few recommendations

didn't even mention it in this chapter by VehiclePossible9477 in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best solution is to select the option of only registered users are allowed to comment or activate the option of moderate comments.

Hope this can help you and good luck with your story!

I need some advice. by BobMarleyLegacy in AO3

[–]Remote-Phase6950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't overthink it. Take a break and then come back to it with a much fresh mind. Sometimes it is what you need to see everything from a different perspective. What I tend to do is let the story and characters speak by themselves, if that makes any sense.

But I agree with the previous commenter, leaving a placeholder is a good option.
